For those who can't understand the first seconds, he was saying that he couldnt hear the song on his earphone and then he whispers "vai sem som" that means something like "lets do it without sound", this is pure soul masterclass, he was scared of such a production failure in that crucial moment, but he did a pretty awesome performance anyway. By the way, his sister, Luisa Sobral is a wonderfull singer too, you must check her performances.

I did not know about this video with more views! I've been listening to this song in loop mode for 24 hours. I hate what Eurovision has become and for the first time I'm going to play the game. I love the jazz world. So, I just found out that Luisa, the composer studied at the Berklee College of Music. During his stay in the United States, she was nominated in the categories "Best Jazz Song" at the Malibu Music Awards in 2008; "Best Jazz Artist" at the Hollywood Music Awards; "International Songwirting Competition" in 2007 and "The John Lennon Songwriting Competition" also in 2008. No, no, no. This song is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard in Eurovision. I was watching festival de cançao and I was originally going for Fernando Daniel (I believe that's his name). When I heard this guy singing for the first time it gave me so many chills. I understand some words, because I can speak Spanish and Romanian and it's sort of similar.
