@@LeeRaldar Kata is just like a dance routine in my opinion. Contactless Tai chi that the elderly practice is also choreographed dance.

@@Chrisallengallery Kata goes further than dance though as it is supposed to be a reaction to an attack triggered by reflex and driven by muscle memory. Dancers presumably change their routines for different shows. Not sure if they have like a pre-learned 'library' of moves to build upon rather like creating music from scales and chords.

When those two showboaters pushed in between them (THAT's the no-no on the dance floor!) he was actually blocked from getting to her. In exasperation, he just stopped dancing and walked right up to her. It's amazing to me how people can watch this clip and NOT see who was causing all the trouble. Those two floor hogs should have been disqualifed.

0:31 Here it was Viktoria and Salvatore’s fault. 0:39 Here the other pair, specifically the lady in red chose to follow the two, in an attempt to upstage them. She was more at fault.

@@sparksfly6149 At 0:39, she's not "following" them at all. She was AHEAD of them, trying to get away from them into an open space. The two had actually pushed right between her and her partner, so he couldn't keep up. They should have been disqualified. Sinardi and Kharchenko were obviously *showboating,* taking up far more than their share of the floor, bumping into other people, and doing antics in front of each judge that made it look like they were just desperate to be noticed. They were not acting like a dance duo at all. Not surprising that they only placed THIRD, when the lady in red and her partner placed SECOND. That's what happens.

Yeah, it's not like the lady in red didn't walk off without her partner first. She didn't even know until she got a good space away from him and finally turned around. But go off blaming the people not at fault 🙄🙄

look again..she turned back to her partner at 0:37..but then then other couple kept pushing her along...so she had to stride faster than them fwd to turn around again and face her partner...the man from the other couple ran into her still

@@pingupingu3488 : Even though the pushy couple was very showy and got everyone's attention, they showed poor manners and "floorcraft" on the dance floor, crowding other couples, and even bumping into them (!) I think THAT'S why they were marked down, only placing third, while the couple they harassed placed SECOND. I suspect some jealousy and rivalry influenced their behaviour....

NO, the others are NOT "simply irritating, and in their way"! The others were just as entitled to be on the floor as they were; but Kharchenko and Sinardi were hogging the floor, crowding other dancers, and pushing others out of their own space. I hate to see showboaters like them who act like it's all about THEM. No, it isn't.

When she tried to move ahead into an open space, the two floor hogs actually pushed in between them. It's clearly visible in the clip. They should have been disqualified. It serves the hogs right that they only placed THIRD, when the couple they tried to run off the floor placed SECOND!

It's almost like they're the only ones on the dancefloor! They're sashaying through everybody as if they aren't even there.

The other woman didn't "forget her partner" at all -- but the couple who impressed you had pushed between them. They should have been disqualified for that. As it was, the pushy couple placed THIRD, while the pair who they tried to split up placed SECOND. Their bad manners were probably a large part of it. I've danced all my life -- and I hate to see show-offs who act like they're trying to clear the floor because it's all about THEM. No, it isn't. The others had just as much right to be there as they did. They were just rude.

@@stevecarson4162 no the other couple clearly tried to get ahead which caused them to split as veronica and salvo had to keep moving at their pace they couldn't have waited for the other couple to pass.

@@sasori7054 : If you watch the clip from the beginning, the other couples are all in their designated space to perform in. But immediately, that obnoxious showboating couple went charging right across the floor, barging into other couples' spaces, and actually bumping into them, like they were trying to push them off the floor. That kind of rude and obnoxious behaviour should have got them disqualified and kicked off the floor. It's sad that SOME people were so impressed by their showing off that they overlook what bad manners they had. As it was, they placed lower in the standings than the couple they were harassing, which placed higher. That's what happens.

@@stevecarson4162 there aren't any designated spaces. They all have to use the whole floor and wow the judges. The first bump was a mistake by salvo and was easily corrected. but after that the other couple tried rushing forward and then slow their pace creating a hurdle im salvo and victorias rutine.

In good floorcraft, you're mindful of where everyone else is, and you're careful not to bump anyone, or barge into their space -- which the obnoxious showboating couple did RIGHT AWAY. There wouldn't BE "bumps" if you stay in your own space. They were crowding the woman in red and her partner -- who I was pleased to see placed higher in the competition. (Jealousy?) Their "routine" did not give them the right to push right between another couple. If they couldn't perform their antics without crowding or bumping anyone else, then they shouldn't have been on the floor. It's clear as a bell what happened, if you open your eyes and look.

He didn't lose his partner. Those two showboaters (Kharchenko and Sinardi) who were acting like it was all about THEM pushed in between them. There's a thing called "floorcraft" -- and if you can't use your own space properly and start intruding on others' space, you shouldn't be on the floor.

It spoils the beauty of the dance when certain couples act like they're trying to take over the floor and push everyone else off it. That's not how it should be done.

Yeah it's really bad in this video. Ot only bumping into the first couple, but blocking her from her partner. Then sinardi bumps into the other guy who actually can see how much they're flying on stage and does a great job of leading his partner from them while still doing a great dance
