As someone who also has ADHD I was thinking the same thing, He does give off strong ADHD vibes 😅 but I can't remember If he said he'd been diagnosed or not?

Oh amazing, I'd be interested to see the results as he definitely comes across that way. I'm sorry to hear that, The waiting list is ridiculous, and it's so sad because it means so many neurodiverse people can't get diagnosed when medication can be life changing and just having the validation that you aren't lazy or stupid really helps. I had never even thought about it until my friend started joking about it 2 years ago and I looked into the symptoms and everything suddenly made sense, my daydreaming and lack of focus in school, the leg jiggling/fidgeting, difficulty sleeping, bad grades, mental health issues and complete lack of motivation as I got older, but we were never taught about these things growing up and people rarely spot it in girls😔 I went to my GP but it's really rural and they suck with mental health issues, he told me it probably wasn't worth looking into so I stopped going there and ignored him 😅When I had my evaluation it turned out I had, had pretty severe ADHD and for 21 years and I'd never even thought about it 🤦‍♀️ No wonder I couldn't function properly! Honestly if you resonate strongly with the symptoms the chances are you do have it as you know yourself best 💜 and the medication has helped me so much, i can actually get out of bed and do normal day to day activities/get stuff done, it's an amazing feeling, I really hope you get diagnosed soon and that the medication helps you (which I'm sure it will💜) It's such a great feeling of validation to know that you aren't stupid or lazy, your brain just works differently to other people and once you know that and can start medication, daily life will hopefully be less of a struggle 💜 If you want any advice or just someone to talk too about it I'm happy to give you my email or something, Good luck In your evaluation! ☺️💜

@@SpliffSplaff it’s crazy isn’t it how much you have to do of your own research in order to be able to probably explain in terms what’s wrong with you in order for doctors to listen because it’s so overlooked in girls! I’ve struggled with every single thing you mentioned my entire life and it wasn’t untill I had my son who presented Autistic traits that’s I started doing research and fell down the adhd and ASD rabbit hole and realised I had both and everything just clicked and my entire life everything finally made sense ! So I had a massive list of symptoms I took to my doctors and I am now waiting for assessments for both adhd and ASD and so is my little boy ! Going 26 years undiagnosed has impacted my self esteem on so many levels constantly searching for ways to fix myself so to finally now know what it was and being so close to having my diagnosis has been life changing , I really relate to everything you went through and I hope more people start talking about it because it’s such an important subject and there needs to be more education and Information because it is life saving❤️ I still struggle so much now being unmedicated so I’m really crossing my fingers once I get my diagnosis and I can start to medicate that I will be able to start to live my life and not just survive on a daily basis ❤️

@@AlinaNewcombe Yeah the fact it's so overlooked in girls is really frustrating and even though You're always getting in trouble for daydreaming in school no one catches on or thinks anything of it, it's crazy how many undiagnosed people are out their and the amount of people who must live their whole lives never knowing or getting the support they need 😔 I'm glad your son helped you realise what was going on! Better late than never I guess but it does feel like an injustice, all those wasted years/years kicking yourself for problems that weren't your fault. Sounds like you definitely fit all the criteria, I hope you don't have to wait much longer, 26 years is enough, Just know that you aren't a burden and you have as much self worth as any other person and im sorry it's taken so long for you to get here, I really wish there was more awareness for ADHD, and ASD in women as well as in general, especially considering so many people worldwide struggle with these conditions. I'm sure your doctor will help you find the right medication and dose for you, it's the best feeling ☺️💜
