I feel like there is a whole other story behind “iCarly” that we never get to see. I mean, come on, we all know that Sam was born into a family full of criminals, her mother ignores her, her father left her, and her sister that her relatives always compare her to is in boarding school. She probably has her mean streak because she has been thrown into this world with little to no guidance and had to take care of herself since day one. It was only until she started dating, and eventually broke up with, Freddie when she let her walls down and gave more sympathy to people. I can’t even imagine what she must’ve felt when Freddie always chased after Carly, even after they broke up. Whether Freddie was in love with Carly or Sam, Sam was the girl who loved Freddie more. And you can’t argue with that. If you ask me, he was her savior. No matter how physically strong she has always been, he was her emotional savior.
Juliette Veronica you absolutely took the words out of my mouth, it broke my heart to see Freddie chase after Carly when they broke up, and Sam was heartbroken! She let her walls down and had to build them right back up, she really loved him and it was so hard for her to say “I love you” because that probably the only man she’s ever loved or trusted knowing her dad isn’t there! The whole thing is just so sad! I think once Sam and cat started and Freddie came back i saw how much he really did love and care for Sam.
Camryn Fields Yeah. I feel like Freddie in Sam and Cat finally came to terms with who he really loved. In iCarly, he was sorta all over the place cause both girls were there. But with Carly in Italy and Sam in LA, he had time to himself to really know who his heart belonged to. Which is why he accidentally admitted it to Robbie. And can I just say it’s fucking RIDICULOUS how dependent they are on Carly? One of my closest friends are exactly like Sam and Freddie: We are from two completely different worlds, but our friendship is more important than our beliefs and lifestyles, so we meet mid way and we have a blast together. I’m a workaholic who loves small gatherings and I don’t dress up, while she is more sociable and loves partying, and looks bomb af everyday. The relationship they had with being two opposite people and negotiating and accepting each other was perfectly fine. Carly wrecked it when she practically pushed them to become one another.
Being a fan of iCarly since the get-go and was recently able to rewatch the show I have always enjoyed the chemistry Freddie and Sam share no matter if they hated, liked or later loved each other. One reason why I prefer Sam with Freddie as a couple is the slow yet convincing build-up of their feelings for one another from their first kiss to the last. And considering your point of view I agree with everything maybe I am reading in too much but in the scene in the episode iOpen A Restaurant Sam looks really upset and hurt after asking Freddie if he has a renewed crush on Carly so yes whatever Carly's feelings towards Freddie may be Sam will always be the one who loves him more
When I was little I used to hate sam and Freddie together, I always wanted Carly and Freddie. But now, I realize how much I love Sam and Freddie as a couple
I know that Carly is a children 's show but,I've been watching Carly since I was 34. So to say the truth sam & Freddie should be husband and wife. If he wasn't married sam would be his wife forever because they been with each other since they were children.

People who say it's carly fault that they broke up. They are WRONG. in the episode iCant take it Freddie almost broke up with Sam but Carly told Freddie that he cannot break up with Sam and carly made them back together again. Also it wasn't carly fault they broke up. Carly was talking to her brother and his babysitter crush thing and Sam and Freddie overheard it. And in Sam and cat killer tuna jump Sam and Freddie admit they still have feelings for each other. And it's a TV show everybody is overeating and also Carly is a kind-hearted person. SO STOP SAYING CARLY MADE THEM BROKE UP!
Thats not cool She knew about seddie and went ahead to flirt with Freddie,it's a proof,she was jealous along just pretending to support them It's obvious from the clips,when she saw the kiss etc You may be a creddie shipper but the truth is Carly is really jealous if seddie and want Freddie back
I feel like during season three was when Freddie realised he might like Sam a little bit and tried to cover it up with the hole Carly thing,, I also think Sam might of developed feelings during that time as she got not really nice but if you look back there are some cute moments with them when they weren’t dating! It kind of makes sense.
