the script, the cast, the costumes, colours.. everything is just beautiful i was aware only slightly of the bullingdon club, this film really opened my eyes, a must see
Amazing movie. Haven't stopped thinking about it since I watched it two days ago. I can't sing its praises higher! Amazing performances, script, cinematography, direction. Just brilliant!
watched this movie coz i vowed to myself i have to see all douglas booth's work. it's a good movie, they were able to achieve what they're planning to achieve. however, it might take me awhile to re-watch it. this movie is seriously traumatizing..
I managed to finish the movie, but I decided I couldn't "follow" them when the initiation of Miles and Allister into the club began. That's when the feeling of utter disgust towards the ten boys started and it all went downhill from there. I have to admit though, I really did pity Miles.
i remember i was gradually feeling uncomfortable and despise the boys so much at the end of the movie. I kept put my hands on my mouth and frowning, saying “no!” “wtf!” all the time. thats how good their acting and the movie is. because thats what they intend to show in the movie!
Money, family, status, the school you went to is not what gives a man class. The way someone treats themselves & those around them, their character, their virtue, their state of consciousness is what true class is. It's a damning social commentary on the pitfalls of privelege, the entrenched inequality in British society & the inevitable self destruction this leads to on an individual & societal level. It's a particular survival strategy based on extraction, exclusion & entitlement. It's not one based on the true fundamentals of existence which exists in unity & interconnection which is why it requires such illusions of grandeur & institutions of entrenched power. Decent movie, interesting topic but the characters & plot are a bit one dimensional.
I’m sick and tired that nobody creates a really good story with really good values . We have enough of evils and stupid story about idiots privilege that don’t know what is life. Wtf?😡
