She's lying about not singing. Her mother and grandfather were great singers. She sang in another movie a few years ago too.

She never tried it in a professional setting before. People aren't guaranteed to inherit any specific trait

James mcavoy learned an instrument for a play he was in but just learned to play that one bit for the scene. I can sing but I've never been trained to sing professionally as a job. Doesn't mean I'm a singer or james is an whatever instrument player of he was meant to sing. This programme is actually about a band. Has she ever been in a band or played a singer in a band were she's singing two or three different songs in different episodes? Riley gonna be judged so harshly cause of her heritage. I guess that is my fascination with it too after watching the whole series three times. I graduated in 74. But Daisy would have befriended another hippy, not a pop star.

@@alicee3670 Nobody expects her to cry publicly. I don't even expect her to cry in private, since I am aware that not everyone feels like crying and sometimes it hits you months later. But I expected her to take a step back from the media frenzy. And it is for me to judge.

It s work she's the star character I'm sure bc of the really close relationship she had with her mother Lisa Marie Presley that she s hurting of course but if at interviews they start asking her about her mom for example how do u feel that ur mom s not here to watch this series ? I'm sure she ll get chocked up.. I'm sure she has moments that she breaks down Don't judge her she s just doing promotion for the series it s work! @@mirabella2154 Take a step back from the "media frenzy"? Are you effing kidding? This has been planned for MONTHS. Contracts were signed, this is her JOB. No one in the business gives a shit that her mother died. Speaking from experience, it was probably the worst day of her entire life, but...Life goes on. You still have to work. You still have to live. In the real world, I got 3 days. But I cried for months. Not every moment of Riley's life is filmed and I'm sure she grieves every single day. She still has a job to do, though, and this is part of it.

Lucky you! He seems like such a nice guy. I have to admit, I loved his American accent, he just came off so great in the series; his English accent gives him a really different character, but so nice. Could watch him in anything he does, he's such a great actor. (from Sandi)

Since we know Billy and Daisy probably get together, maybe a reunion tour? I was a freshman in HS in 1970. This show got it all right, the hair, clothes, music, shoes, boots, jewelry, attitudes, all of it. I have to watch it again.

The masterising is not so well i agree ! I prefer when they sing in studio than when they’re on scene in the show but their voices are ❤

Totally agree. The bass guitar and drums just don't have that mellowness that genuine 70s records have. There are bands and producers that have successfully emulated the sound more recently (the Cardigans, the Zutons, the Magic Numbers). It just needs more than Hammond organs and Wurlitzer electric pianos. Such a shame because I'm sure many producers and engineers capable of pulling it off would have been up for the job.

We definitely had our sounds in the 70's and it was different than this, but they were supposed to be a band trying to find their sound, so it wasn't going to be perfect and like Led Zeppelin or The Doors, etc. (from Sandi)
