It’s crazy when you think about how Darnold is still only 26 years old. Feels like he’s been in the league forever. By all accounts he’s a good dude. Would like to see him have a Rich Gannon/Geno Smith/Baker Mayfield type career redemption.

Everyone is talking bridge qb this bridge qb that... Why not root for the guy who never had a swinging chance to prove it? Sam has shown flashes of really, really great things and i'm super excited to see what he can do with an actual team.

As a Vikings fan for 60 + years, I've had the gut wrenching privilege to watch backs Walter Payton and Barry Sanders run all over us for years. I would get the same feeling of mixed emotions of respect with Mr. Jones. But now, for the first time that I can recall, we get that massive, intelligent wisdom and skill on our side that was formerly opposition. And surrounding Mr. Darnold with this much talent and leadership will finally allow him to showcase his true abilities. Everything about this is intelligent and I look forward to this next season! Darnold isn’t as bad as his numbers appear. He played for two terrible organizations and was thrown to the wolves right out the gate. I’m optimistic he will have a decent season.

I think that Sam knows that he's arriving to an organization where he can be as good as he wants to be. The Jets threw him in deep water with practicality zero protection or playmakers. It was no better for him in Carolina. Last season he finally got to see how a winning organization operates in SF. He does have talent, the big "if" is can Kevin O Connell put him in situations where Sam can be consistently successful week in and out. If so, I think Sam could surprise some people.

In his first press conference as a viking, Darnold has earned the nickname "S-umm Darnold". 😂

As a stop gap qb I think Darnold is a great signing. Mind you he is on alert that he will have to battle with whoever Vikes draft at Qb this year. JJ to JJ has a ring to it, but Bo Nix has been my pick since last year. Don't be surprised if Vikes go BPA at 11 and sneak their way back in the 1st rd an nab Nix. We'll come back to this post after the draft, either way its an exciting time. As a bonus we got AJ who has spoiled many Sundays for us glad he's on the good guys side now....SKOL!

As a Packer fan and live in Wisconsin I am saddened by the departure of Aaron Jones, but I am also happy for him and hope the best for him too. When I found out I was very upset that the Green Bay Packers and Aaron couldn’t of found a middle ground. I was also upset that they sent him to a team that was in our league so we get to see him twice a year still which doesn’t make me very happy because he could hurt us in those two games he plays against us. I hope he stays healthy for you all. I think Aaron is a better runner on grass than he is on turf but we’ll see. Go Pack!

People are going to mock the "umms" but if we look past that, Sam is quite intelligent and knows what is expected of him this coming season. Sam wasn't drafted for his Public Speaking skills. He was drafted for his FOOTBALL skills. And it's those skills that we hope will translate well on this team which will be the first ever team he's on that ISN'T a dumpster-fire like the Jets and the Panthers.

Sam Darnold was QB2 in San Francisco because, rightfully, Brock Purdy earned QB1 with his surprising rookie success. In an open competition, I would have bet on Darnold all day. Nobody would have been talking about a passing game that focuses on the middle third of the field, which was the narrative on the 49ers 2023 passing game.

I have never been the biggest fan of Darnold and was luke warm when we signed him. But the more I think about it the more I think he is the perfect bridge. He seems like a good dude.
