Yeah the way they went out was utter dogshit. I was sobbing the whole way through, but that's because my heart was breaking for both of them, and Jared and Jensen sold the hell out of the scene. But it wasn't supposed to end like this! They all deserved so much better. After all this time, after fighting to get their lives back for so long, Dean deserved rest. Just because he always thought he'd go out swinging, that's not what his character arc would've led to. He was finally free to live the life he always wanted but could never have, he even had a job application on his desk for god's sake, and then that just gets taken away from him. He was so SCARED! He didn't want to die, and he didn't want to leave Sam. And Sam had to be miserable for the rest of his life because of it, and didn't even get with Eileen. Dean never got to be Sam's best man at the wedding, never got to see that child being born. Hell, he never even had time to process Cas' death before they just fucking shanked him. Speaking of Cas, yeah he also deserved infinitely better and I'm so fucking angry about that too. Just...fuck this show, man. It was my favorite show, but this betrayal fucking hurts.

The writers know that we wanted Dean to live a normal life. He deserved it cause hes so selfless. But Dean tried that life already remember? With Lisa and Ben and it didnt work out so well. Dean always saw himself dying doing what he wanted and Sam living the normal life he always wanted as well.

he deserves it, but, it was the perfect ending... just like that, stabbed by a damn rod, i cried the entire episode after that i think, at the end dean died doing what he loved, saving people and hunting things, and sam, lived his happy apple pie life that he always wanted, speaking of pies, im glad that dean got that pie he was looking for so many years, loved the sequence on the road, on the bridge, idk i just loved it

Dean would've never found peace on Earth. There would always be someone he would feel compelled to save. In the end, the Wayward Son found the peace and rest he deserved. And he went out on his terms, not Chuck's.

Dean wouldn't have wanted a long life without Lisa and Ben. Without them to be his family, he only wanted to go out fighting for what was right. Hunting the monsters that he has been hunting his whole life. All Dean has ever wanted for Sam, is to grow old and live a long happy life. Dean got his perfect ending.

Ya I got mad at first while watching it because if the way he died. Was screaming at the tv lol. But someone quotes the carry on my wayward son song! It made perfect since with the lyrics! I know if it was not for the pandemic it would ha been better. But the way it was was amazing! As a faithful watcher with my daughter it made thier point. Think of Sam and Dean's final words to each other in this way: Dean is the show talking to us, telling us it's time to let it go, that we are strong enough to live on without it, and that it will always be in our hearts. We viewers are Sam, begging for the show to stay, that we can't and don't want to go on without it, but ultimately understanding that the show (Dean) is ready, and that they need us to tell them it's okay to go. This epic love story changed my life. It's always been you, Sammy. How can any human being's love reach that degree. Everybody is saying that Dean was wronged by his early death, but I think it was Sam who has been really wronged by his promise to his brother. I can't find any happiness in his eyes in his few scenes as a 'normal' man. And in the Impala scene, the look in his eyes resonated a yearning-burnt soul. There will never be another relationship as theirs again. And it should be named Sam&Dean relationship as a one of kind. It's beyond love, beyond brotherhood, beyond any normal limit of human feelings. Thank you Mia for this beautiful, heart-breaking video. And thanks for Supernatural for being in my life. 😭😭💞💞

I know it’s been almost a year- But i know totally what you meant ! I didn’t see happiness in eyes either. They just screamed „ enduring „ to me. Dean waited for Sam in heaven for 4 minutes. Sam lived HALF of his whole live without his brother. He suffered. But I guess they now have something to fight about in heaven 😄 I can’t stop crying

Jensen himself said to the director that he could only do this scene max 3 takes because of how emotional it was. Winchester brothers will forever have my heart.

SPN is not "just a show": we loved and still love this story and in some ways we became part of the Winchester family. I don't want you to feel lonely or helpless after this finale. If any character deserved a break and peace it’s Dean. He literally never had a childhood or a break (besides the year he got with Lisa and even that ended in dean having to sacrifice to keep them safe) like Sam got for a little bit and was raised to be the ultimate hunter and soldier. He’s lost more loved ones then anyone on this show and had to sacrifice so much. While I was a little disappointed how dean died I’m happy he got his peace he deserved and Sam got to get out of the life and start a family like he wanted

I have never sobbed so hard in my life watching his deathe like that. I knew that this was gonna happen in the end but it hurt so bad bcs I didnt know how it was gonna happen. The parallels hurt so much. These two have always fought for and with eachother through everything and nothing can ever separate them. I'm so happy they are in heaven now and finally at peace and happy with eachother and everyone else, they deserve it after all they have been through. I'm gonna miss this show so much and I cant stop crying knowing we wont see them again. Thank you supernstural for the best 15 years through all the funny, sad, joyful, crazy memories these two legendary brothers gave us.

Oh the relationship between Sam and Dean, this is the relationship that has kept Supernatural on TV screens for 15 years. Thank you for the beautiful video. SPN is over and I thank Jared and Jensen. We experienced a lot of emotions with them. They gave us 15 years of fun, fear, love, fighting ... I can't understand the hatred they get from hellers. Fortunately, there are renowned critics and a reputable press. "TVLine gave Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki honorable mentions in their Performer of the Week article this week". Okay. I just woke up and watched this 7 and a half minute video of a relationship about a show I don’t even watch and it’s the best decision I ever made. I don’t even know where to begin honestly. This video was so fucking good. The way you only had the barn scene in color and the rest of it was in b&w made such a difference. It made it so emotional. All the parallels you used. You used every parallel you could and it was so amazing. Hell, I’m sitting here crying over this and I don’t watch the show. That just shows how talented you are and how much these two mean to you to produce something as amazing as this video. For you to make me have these kind of feelings for something I don’t watch is just insane and amazing. This is by far one of the best videos you have ever made, if not the best video you have ever made. I don’t even have words for it. It’s truly spectacular. They will always be your brand but the spn fandom is so lucky to have someone like you in their fandom making these kind of masterpieces. This is so amazing Elo. To be completely honest with y’all I’m happy with this ending because Dean found his peace and Sam got what he had always wanted we got a happy ending no matter how bittersweet and i do think there are many things the could have done better but when i really think about it i cannot physically imagine a different ending

The parity of this edit is amazing. It really shows how dean was always putting so much pain and emotion for his brother. For the brother that never realized how much his brother loved him this scene just hits so deep. Dean was the best big brother anyone could ask for. Even with his final breath he was standing for his brother to be strong. I thank this series for helping me rekindle my relationship with my brother. I was always the dean and he was always the Sam but damm the bond was never a weak one. I would do anything to keep him safe including sacrificing myself to the depths of hell. I’d always rather it be me than him. Thank you Supernatural

This is wonderful and sad at the same time. I must admit, i always shed a lot of tears every time i watch this video. Dean knew that Sammy could face life without him. But i think that Dean couldn't done it the same way Sam did. Deans last breath kills me all the time. Sammy was always his safest place, even in the last second of his life. Your video with all its parallels is really heartbreaking beautyful. Thank you.

That wasn’t very good for my mental state cause I’ve been depressed after that finale but oh my god this is the most beautiful edit ever. I’m crying so hard. The quality, the parallels everything...it seems like you have put so much effort into it and I’m grateful for people like you. Your presentation was Perfect! They are not only saying goodbye as character brothers, but, in real life, they are saying goodbye as the deepest of friends as they move on to different career story lines. They were sharing their personal feelings and tears thru their acting, straight from the heart. Such A Love so intense in real life that it bleeds over to the screen A very painful but necessary event for both of them, I can't imagine losing my dearest friend closer than a brother of 15 years even with a successful future waiting for me...time will tell if they ever reunite as The Winchesters again. I wish them and their families God speed. They will always be a part of my life experience until I die. -SH

Revisiting this edit because I love it sm, but ugh it hurts. When Dean says “stay with me please” for some reason I always broke down crying on that line specifically, and I kinda wonder if it’s because of how scared Dean was that everyone would eventually leave him. It’s very clear he has abandonment issues, since he mentions it throughout the show, but ugh it’s pure pain

I am literally sobbing right now. And I was sobbing last night at this same scene when watching the finale. And I had remembered a lot of the parallels you showed, but there were a couple I had forgotten about. So thank you so much for this amazing video while most of the rest of the SPN fandom is lying curled up in a fetal position crying. Crying for the end, crying for Sam & Dean’s beautiful brotherly bond, crying for all those lost by them on the way, and crying for the fact that at the end of it all, they can both “lay your weary heads to rest, so don’t you cry no more” because they ended up together and at peace.

I cried so much! Ive grown up with this show and watched it for as long as i can remember. Its been an absolute ride of joy and tears and i wouldnt have it any other way. Screw covid and all the what ifs, dean and sam were together in heaven in the end and thats all i could have ever wanted. Supernatural family and legacy is one of the strongest i have known and it will remain as such.

Dude this show saved my life when I was 16 (I'm 19 now, almost 20) and I am sad, broken almost that this show that saved me, saved so many others is over but all good things come to the end and that's okay, it's okay it was one hell of a ride.
