In 1985 "Capital Edition" profiled/interviewed D.C. artist Sam Gilliam in his 14th street Washington, DC studio...as he and an assistant worked on projects. Raul Rivero produced the segment. John O. Goldsmith narrated. Gilliam was already a successful artist. He would become fabulously successful. Today (2019) his previous works routinely sell at auction for $100,000 - $200,000. In 2017 one sold for $560,000.
