Recency bias, over generalization of single data points and outliers, and an over reliance on heuristics instead of trusting the scientific method has people going crazy after losing one game when the Celtics actually got the job done in Dallas by splitting the 2-game set. People are freaking out about having to potentially start freaking out if the Celtics lose. Personally, I’m nervous just because I really want the Celtics to win and it’s nerve wracking when they don’t win, but let’s not pretend like this is a must win for the Celtics or that there is more pressure on the Celtics than the Mavs to win this game. If we stay loose, follow the game plan, and make proper adjustments to best execute the game plan, we’ll be walking away with Banner 18.

I thought the same thing at first... but I think it's just mental prep... one game at a time, it's just the next game...all to avoid becoming overwhelmed with pressure so that they can play freely or as free as possible. Hope it works. I have no doubt that they want to win in Boston today! Let's Go Celtics!!!!!!!!!

@Mitch_Feral I think they realize it's a 7 Game series , first to 4. Everyone was picking Dallas in 7 or Celtics 5 or 6... but in order for those to happen the Celtics have to lose. It just looks worse or different because they were so 3-0 and now 3-1.... what if they won the first lost the second and won the 3rd & 4th. It would still be 3-1.... I think that's the way the look at it. First to 4, whatever it takes.

Yes I will because if they manage to win that will mean they came together as a team, dug deep and went out there and fought hard to win the Championship, because this Dallas team is going to bring the heat tomorrow night so if the Celtics come out with even more intensity and don’t rely solely on the 3 ball, then I will retract everything I said and will gain a new level of respect for them, all I’m saying is there is a very good chance they come out flat once agile because that is who they are in big games up to this point

What went wrong? The team stayed at the hotel. They simply didn't compete. I believe they were satisfied with the one victory in Dallas. I expect them to drag Dallas Monday night.

@@mikeroberts4015 but it would boost all the audio...I know it's a small thing but I have a huge pet peeve with so many of these interview videos where either you can't even hear the question (and have to reverse engineer it based on the answer) or the disparity between the video's audio and the ads is huge...or they are in the gym so close to other players practicing that the sound of the ball bouncing is louder than the person being interviewed...

Yes a depressing showing from the C's, pathetic actually. That said, I expected Dallas to at least take one at home, and they did. I had originally predicted celtics in 6, but I would NOT mind 5. The stage is set for them, now a second chance in 3 days to bring a championship home. Let's see if the celtics can finally put this one to rest, or if they are still the same choke artists from 2 years ago 😮

Literally not one player on the team has the kill or be killed type determination, I will never understand how they could all be so extremely soft, every Champion of the past had dogs on the team, guys like Jordan that would literally make his teammates uncomfortable in order to get them in the right headspace to win a championship, this is why I honestly think if ever a team will come back from being down 0-3 in the Finals it will be against a team like these current Celtics. Either dig deep and fight for it or go home and let the Mavs take it away from you, the Celtics are clearly the more skillful team across the board but the Mavs have toughness and grit, they will fight until the last second and that to me speaks volumes in this type of scenario, I personally think they lose tomorrow by 15+ then they go back to Dallas and lose again by 10-15 and then come back to Boston and finally decide to play in a very close game 7. That’s how much I think it’s going to take for this soft Celtics team to finally learn how detrimental it is to have good leadership on the team, but ya truly sad
