Any interview I see with Sam Heughan that is not specifically related to the show is always so much betterthan the typical Outlander thirst interviews. He's more himself, I think, and it's lovely to see because I genuinely think he's a truly nice down-to-earth guy and he deserves to be treated as one. Thanks for sharing this interview with the rest of the world.
I think that the Outlander are always wrapped in “what can I say”; “is that a spoiler?” etc. All of the actors struggle with that and they all seem quite more relaxed when they talk about other projects or themselves
Such a great interview! My non-drinking husband watched it with me while we were eating dinner. He said: "You have some of this, right?" I said, "Yes! Wanna try some?" He said.. "Sure!" Then he started asking me a bunch of questions about Sam, and admired the bottle. His parting words as he left the table,: "Sam is smart. I am impressed." I said, "I am buying more as soon as it comes in." He said, "You should get two bottles." :)
Sassenach Spirit is great tasting, but I'd love to see Sam develop a single malt whisky. Maybe he and Laphroaig could join up. I fell in love with Sam's character, Jamie, first. But after listening, watching and getting to know him, he captured my heart. Of course, I'm old enough to be his mother, but we older ladies can love, too. Right?
Thank you Cask Chasers and Sam Heughan! I enjoyed both the audio and video versions of this episode. I’m not a big drinker, but hope to get my hands on some Sassenach whisky in the upcoming release. Slainte!
this interview amazing and also Mr. Heughan is an earth angel and love his passion for all he does and so determined to do all and with such caringness and love to me touches my heart.
Fantastic conversation, very relaxed and informative and of course loved seeing the visual and interaction. Loved hearing about the creation of The Sassenach from Sam. I think he was itching to come join you all in person. Hopefully next time! ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I quit alcohol drinking over 30 yrs ago and then Sam Heughan introduced me to Sassenach Whisky and NOW a dram of Sassenach is a pre-bedtime drink every night. Love ya Sam :)
This was really great! Popped the cork on my bottle of Sassenach just arrived today, put this podcast on, and just enjoyed! What a fun genuine group of folks! Slainte!
@@rolandheughan5538 I appreciate you NOT using Sam’s identity trying to scam people into thinking that you are Himself!?! 😡. Go find yourself your OWN LIFE! Creeper!
Just pre ordered a bottle here in US 😍 I don’t even drink😂 Hope it arrives in time for our Ladies trip to Outer Banks the end of October, Definitely gonna be trying this and binge watching Outlander again!
Watching the interview I had to pour myself a dram of the Sassanach. Fortunately I had a bottle. So smooth. Will buy more when it becomes available. Sam is lovely in an interview. Love his passion for his country and whisky in general.
This was such a great interview to watch at 6 a.m. Maybe whisky is what I need to motivate my workouts instead of Mountain Dew. I will keep you all posted🥃😍
I'm not a whisky drinker...grew up with Tequila...I live in AZ...but you make me want to have a dram .! Great interview...It seemed that Sam felt so at home with you guys ...he even mentioned your podcast in another podcast he was in later...Great Job..xo you are all so fun ..and Sam was so easy going. xo
Loved the podcast as well as the video of your conversation! Great interview and questions; superb interplay between all of you. My first listen, Katie, Aaron and Bobby...y'all are so knowledgeable, and loved that you gave Sam the opportunity to truly talk in depth about his Sassenach. I'm on my 3rd bottle and am waiting on the US release (delayed now...supposed to have happened on Aug 25, but delayed due to 'everything.') Wonderful to hear you say that people in the industry recognize Sam's efforts to create this product from the bottom up; he deserves all the double golds that Sassenach has earned. So eager to hear about updated release date!! Am planning on getting the triple pack! Thanks again for a wonderful show....always fun to hear Sam talk about his passion. Hope you'll plan to have him back some time!!
First time watching. Sam was awesome of course. You guys are pretty funny and the interaction with Sam seemed so easy. Katie is adorable and I couldn’t help but think she and Sam would get along so easily!! 😊
So much fun to sit and "watch" your conversation with Sam! I listened the first time on your podcast but loved "seeing" you all speak about whisky and Sassenach was even more fun. This upcoming release in the US will be my 3rd bottle. As I can see that you know, its such an easy whisky to drink and enjoy. Thanks for putting this all together! On another note, I've listened to several of your other podcasts and they're terrific, informative. I just listened to the Japanese podcast and wrote down some things. Love a good blended Japanese whisky. I appreciate your commentary talking about different whiskies!
Awesome podcast, awesome team! Visual content... Stunning, Sassenach bottle too! 🤭 Can't wait to secure a bottle or two, a few wee fairy lights as well! Y'all an Sam are knowledgeable, passionate about whiskey, so it draws us in! At some point will probably watch this again! Learned alot too! Thanks so much!
Thank you for this wonderful interview. It was very informative! I learned more about what goes into the process in making the Sassenach than I had heard before. I really enjoyed listening to you comment on the tasting of the whisky as well. Sam was very relaxed and enjoying himself too. Pulled out my bottle and had a wee dram with you in the process! Love that whisky and am happily awaiting the arrival of my next two bottles!
You got me amazing with your beautiful words being said properly to Sam. I love his sense of human and everything concerning him but I still haven’t gotten that opportunity to meet him in person though. Well that’s cool and hopefully to meet someday. How are you doing Claudine
I love this Y.T. subject on whiskey and Sam H. who is a beautiful human being. So by the end of this I am on the hunt for whiskey, which I have not had before. Here in Minnesota, we have specialty drinks during the winter months but once I find this beautiful bottle of whiskey I will have my 7 brothers and sisters over to talk and compare and share lots of laughs. Thank you for spending time with a fan. 🎈

Great podcast Chasers! I really enjoyed it! In reference to minute 30/31 and women and whiskey... Have you had Rhonda Kallman (Boston Harbor Distillery) on as a guest? She's so passionate that she left Sam Adams (one of its founding members) to start her own Distillery. I think you'd enjoy her story!
There is nothing as fascinating as someone who truly loves something talking freely about it. THAT's what has made me want to learn more. AND...btw, video really does add a level, do it as often as you can.
My intro. to whiskey was a whiskey sour (hold the cherry, extra lime) in college. I was the odd one of my peer group; the rest were downing beer, wine and the occasional sidecar at parties. I never really wavered and my love for whiskey grew. I just discovered this channel and am learning so much. Thanks for the content from a very appreciative local viewer.
Sam Heughan is a gift from God to us ! A rare soul , a phenomenal actor ! So, he deserves exceptional roles only ! But he also knows that only training prepares you for them ! And he also knows that in the meantime you must survive !
I'm a newbie in the whisky world. Fireball is the first whisky I ever bought myself, & The Sassenach is my 2nd. Finally opened my bottle 2 days ago after listening to this podcast episode, & it is delicious! Also, @ 30:45 - 32:50, so much truth is being spoken here! Don't get me wrong: I love a good rosé as much as the next gal, but Sam is absolutely right. Pink & glittery is not - and should not always be - the move. It was refreshing to hear you all talking about womens' enjoyment of whisky! Great job!
My first time listening to your pod cast. I started listening #1 because you had Sam on, but #2 I have been drinking whiskey all of my life. I don't know much about it, other than I really like it. I have been considering purchasing his Sassenach whisky (is that spelling right for Scotland?). Now that I have seen this podcast, I really do think I would love this. I am from Kentucky and drink bourbon. I mean I live in KY, so that seems to make sense right lol? You have taught me a lot in just this, what hour or so. Thanks for the lesson, and having Sam on. I would love to throw a wee dram back with those baby blues.
That podcast about your Sasanach whisky is so revealing and tempting I probably would not be able to afford it as I am a pensioner, but wish I could taste it. I live in Queensland. Don't know if I could even get it here. All the best with it Sam. Be wise and get your direction from our Father God.xxx
There was a time when if 10 brands of Kentucky whiskey were lined up, each in a glass, I could identify all of them by taste. :) I'll have to try this "gorgeous whiskey."
Sam Heughan is always charming. Good luck with Sassenach whiskey though it isn't my thing. More into wine.... Still wish you all the luck with your endeavors
That was fun. I don’t drink whiskey but my husband does. Side note, as much as I love Stephen Colbert, I was really pissed off at him for being so dismissive and an ass when Sam was on his show with his whiskey. Thanks for a great interview.
Me too. Sam was rather affronted by that. I was like, dude, you just destroyed the whisky without trying it with putting that stupid soda in it! And HTF did he not know a Scot takes his whisky neat?
LOL, Cordialement
I live in Oregon. I ordered from ReserveBar last time and they were great! I'm planning to buy through them again when this next release comes through! I hope you get to, also!
agréable conversation, et sympathique ambiance décontracté 🥰👍🤐Sam très à l'aise et parle tellement bien de son whisky sassenachs🥃👏👍❤merci pour ce partage ❤💋

Well, I’m still waiting on where I can purchase the Sassenach (in Canada). I’ve given up the show, am loving Bees, am waiting for my arisaid , just need that whisky for a great night with a comfortable quilt, a fireplace giving the room some heat and amazing smells, and Bees in my hands
In scotch whisky: “Single” means made at one distillery and “malt” refers to barley. So, “Single Malt”, A malted barley whisky made at one distillery. “Grain” means the whisky is made with multiple grains, not just barley (Corn, wheat, or rye). Hope that helps.
I am a Kentucky girl which has bourbon galore and distillaries. However, now I live in Alabama and have checked unable to get the Sassanach but will keep watching till it can come here .....
You got me amazing with your beautiful words being said properly to Sam. I love his sense of humor and everything concerning him but I still haven’t gotten that opportunity to meet him in person though. Well that’s cool and hopefully to meet him anytime soon. How are you doing Erica

I would love to get my hands on a bottle to finally taste what everyone is talking about but living in Virginia is tough when you want something stronger than a flippin wine cooler
@@lindag5076 oh hey yeah now I think it can be delivered to VA but I still was unable to get a bottle. I was hoping the two textbooks I returned because of a class I don’t need for this semester would have cleared back into my checking account but didn’t so I was unable to get a bottle today hopefully once the money comes in I can buy one off of someone that might have bought two or more. I would still love a bottle. College is expensive when your broke
I'm curious about the necklace he's warring as well as the need bracelet next to the watch your wearing on your right wrist.? P. s. You look great and relaxed in your v- neck T-shirt. 👵😍🙌
