@@KylerGalore signed in depth w/ Tremayne Anchrum, probably getting starts but mostly depths in the draft. Cash is getting scarce and this is a good draft for OL, probably the best in 6-10 years.
This season for me as a Commanders fan is all about Howell and the O-line not breaking his confidence. He is the only thing i care about watching with this football team. I have given up on this defense that is supposed to be dominant but never are.
I am shocked that this defense is struggling as much as they are, the good news is when the offense is on they can make up for the shortcomings. I think Rivera is the big issue tho either way
100 percent we can finally have an elite qb on a cheap contract we gotta develop this kid the right way because if Sam becomes the player that we think he can than your playoff window opens up
@@TheCavemanNFLno surprise we aren’t dominating, we have negative lb talent and aren’t doing anything to help it, it’s no wonder we can’t get stops if all you have to do against us is throw it short and get 5 yards after the reception
Josh Allen wasn’t elite his first season and MANY scouts and analysts hated the pick when the Bills Drafted him. His college production was sub par but his tools were outstanding. Sam Howell’s college production was great and his tools are great as well. As with ANY QB ever In the history of the game… coaching and system will elevate the strengths. In 6 games this kid has only 1 true dud. They’re asking him to do wayyy too much right now but I’ve been surprised that he’s generally been capable. If he can clean up his pre snap read and recognition he’s has potential to be GREAT. He’s not just playing QB or facilitating, the entire offense is essentially going through him and his arm right now. He’s got more pass attempts and completions than anyone and 68% comp. You CANNOT just poo poo that.
I like this take. Sam Howell was the mid-season passing yards leader last season and if he has a good wr core and tight ends with the seahawks I think he can pull some crazy stuff off. especially with K9 in the backfield with him. hopefully he can take them to the playoffs and get some wins.
He has started 10 games he’s 5-5 at the point of this comment, Washington has a terrible O-line and it’s been tough for him as basically a rookie but he leads the NFC in Completions and Yards through 9 games that’s pretty good for basically a first year starter. If we can turn the draft picks we got from sweat and young into O line I think we have a solid offense and I really like what I’ve seen from Howell so far.
Commanders should have kept him and got jayden daniels. Cause why tf would you give up a good rookie on his 3rd year on his rookie contract and get less than his worth. He was worth a 2nd rounder an we got a 6th and a 4th round pick. Thats a slap in the face to a redskins fan
@@J3WfroN1NjA21 Sam Howell is 220lbs. Josh Allen’s listed weight is above 234 but that is way out of date too, he’s done interviews recently where he’s been at like 240+ and maybe even 250+ when it’s in the off season. Allen is a lot bigger than Howell. The guy is a monster for a QB, he probably could’ve been a tight end.
Josh has been in the league for six years and been through his development. Howells in year 2 and year 1 as the starter. Let him develo for two more years to take less sacks and he’s Josh Allen or better
@@GLA45Amg716 nice .. they both hella accurate & have that gunslinger mentality which can cause a lot of turnovers at times. Sam will be a beast mark my words
