Synths galore! This is my remix of the Mass Effect Galaxy Map music, 'cos the best part of that game is exploring the galaxy. I kinda rushed finishing it off, so it's mastered pretty terribly, but it's loud so it'll do :P I'm not the best at making synths, but hopefully the intense amount of processing make them sound okay :)
I think the image is just concept art from the game's production so hopefully that's okay.
Alternate title: "Sidequesting Across The Universe"

7:07 I had to stop and play it back to make sure I wasn't imagining that there was a voice-over reciting the opening of H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds. The influence of that novel is blatently apparent in the third game. The reapers walk along the ground shooting their "heat rays" and blaring their loud horns. The entire series is basically "The Seven Samurai" (Reapers are returning after a long absence to "harvest" the space faring races of the galaxy) mixed with "War of the Worlds" with a strong Lovecraft influence.

Just rewatched Tron after playing the Mass Effect Trilogy for the X time and I have to say that I agree. I can imagine this beeing the end scene theme for legacy.

Awesome work man. Nice touch with The Eve of the War opening monologue from Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds. Good to see some classic sci-fi works/music intermixed with Mass Effect.

Had to edit for this. Man, the drop at 2:20 is SICK! But the one at 5:14 doesn't quite have the same effect. I think that to make this track EVEN BETTER, you should turn down or even fade out the vibrato for that and it'll be perfect! Just a suggestion, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

+PhysicsMan Heh, the speech is from the opening of Jeff Wayne's musical adaptation of 'War of the Worlds', one of my dad's favourite albums. He used one of the tracks from it as his ring tone around the time I was making this, so I think that's where I got the idea from :) Thank you so much for listening and commenting! While it is a good remix on it's own, the original track is a soft, ambient piece of music. If i played this while roaming the galaxy, it just wouldn't have the same affect.
