A lot of it didn't age well, I tried watching it recently too and it felt off, the humor doesn't land when ur older. Like kicking footballs into random cars and running thru grocery stores knocking over shelves. It doesn't feel the same when ur in ur late 20s 30s, and it shouldn't, even the stuff where they don't mess with ppl and mess with shopping carts just wasn't funny anymore ... The best parts were the parts I used to think were the worst parts the skating montages and ofc getz sperging out was the only part I actually lold

Sorry to be the “errrm acktchually guy 🤓” but, Jackass came from the magazine “Big Brother” a super edgy skateboarding mag from the 90’s-00’s. Knoxville tried out for Big Brother by testing “self defense weapons” and tased himself, maced himself, ending with him wearing a plate carrier and literally S#ooting himself with a .38 snub nose I think. Wee man already worked with Big Bro, same with Jeff Tremaine, Steve o came to Big bro the same way just kept trying to impress them with sideshow stunts, around the SAME TIME, the CKY gang were doing jackass style stunts and skits for Bam’s skateboarding videos, I’m willing to bet $100 bam and CKY read big brother magazine, before the dickhouse crew watched a Bam skit. At least they all came together eventually at some point to make the show we grew up with. I mean Steve O is like 50 and has no skills, is still a celebrity, so he’s got to market it somehow, and when you’re secure in you’re sobriety, most drug programs encourage you to continue your working on your sobriety by helping others get sober, so that’s probably something to do his white knighting
