Heirloom was written and performed on two handpans - the primary is a F# Annaziska Asachan by EchoSoundSculpture, the other is a SaBye E by Ayasa - Thanks to both of these makers for their incredible crafts.

Sam, I just discovered this piece after starting work on your masterclass. You have opened a new world for me. Thank you so much. This piece moves me to tears: an incredible combination of uplifting, nostalgic, almost melancholic and yet full of hope...it makes me want to dance again after this terrible year of loss and anxiety. Sam you have inspired me in an immense way. I have been watching your videos and I'm dumbfounded at how talented you are at playing the handpan. I have ordered a rakumi 12" 13 note steel tounge drum as I cant quite afford such a lavish purchase as a handpan, and I plan to play it until my fingers fall off.
