He is so delighted and proud that someone would think he was Sam's best friend and Sam's right there like, yeah, you're my best friend: no hedging, no hesitation. They clearly have so much love for each other and are so mutually supportive, it's easy to understand how they can take such emotional risks with their characters. It's all about trust. And who do you trust more than your best friend?
Eric saying, I felt like I was with my two sons, who are of the same age. I love it! The old guy just hanging out with the younger dudes who are off in their own world.
I think part of the reason Eric says things like this in every interview is to diffuse the tension of yet another interviewer asking this question and trying to imply that there's something going on between Sam and Jacob. He's like, "No, I know this dynamic and it's like my sons: they're best friends and they love each other and love spending time together and there's nothing wrong with that. Next question!"
I adore them both . Their chemistry and connection are a main driving force of the show. I hope the writers keep that in mind for future seasons. I know the characters will go through trials and trbulations as they do in the books. But, my hope is that we are given the opportunity to see our vampire soulmates evolve and find happiness together onscreen. The show, the writing , the cast and Jam Reiderson ❤ have gotten much praise for an outstanding show. AMC please don't pull the rug out from under us. 😕 I hope Sam and Jacob have many years together onscreen like Jared and Jensen. I love this bromance 💋

A marriage signature cannot extinguish the sexual desire that arises from chemistry with someone. There is clearly fire between them, which is why they blush.
@@starzy154rad could not stand him and begged to be let go. He tried to buy out his contract, but there was some high value clause he would have had to pay if he left. To this day he says it was one of the worst experiences he had. And you know what? It shows. I liked the movie but those two had zero chemistry.
@@hollib3900 "it shows" - it actually worked in a way. Louis can't stand Lestat and is miserable in the book and that was very clear in the movie. I'm still glad we got Jacob and Sam and with that also a version of Louis who's likable and not just a sourpuss the whole time.
@@starzy154 yes, that’s why we never see them pairing anymore. Worked for the roles I guess, how Louis hates Lestat 🥲 But I can imagine since I have encountered difficult personalities at work that made it truly an annoying experience.
Completed watching Part II ... What a stellar performance by the whole cast! Lestat, Louis and of course Santiago!!!! It's a phenomenal bit of screenplay!!!
It's a very curious statement from someone that writes plays and books, so I figure words have specific meaning to Eric. I guess he still doesn't know because in another interview he said he "wouldn't categorize it". I love the intrigue ♥️🧡🌹
Sam Reid is a hottie and he was amazing as Lestat better than Tom Cruise. He is dreamy as a vampire he is perfect as Lestat and he did piano lessons and singing lessons and he spoke French & Italian and he read all of Anne Rice's books. I hope he comes back as The Vampire Lestat Queen Of The Dammed, and Memoch The Devil and I would love to see Sam Reid

I wonder if the moderator knows there's a difference between "a vibe" and "the vibe" .. As Jacob says " how do you describe a vibe?" Well you don't. It's a feeling/ emotion that can only be felt and you know it when you feel it. "The vibe" is the atmosphere, how or what is happening. Semantics....it's my life.💘💓💕💘 I am glad they stopped talking otherwise, I fear Jacob's cheeks would have burst from joy.😚☺️😘🤠😋

sam is really shy I have seen some of their interviews and sam seemed nervous then louis is like rubbing his back to make him calm down...Our handsome vampire is not even on social media
He always speaks highly of Jacob so this isn't true. Even now in the second season when they didn't have many scenes together, they said they talk and text each other every day. Sam is more of an introvert in public, but their friendship is definitely not one-sided. Even their costars talk about how close they are.
