'Hey! My name is Sam Ryder. If you're anything like me, you were stoked on the this song when it first came out in '94. My friends and I would run extension cords out of the window and across the street so we could blast it on our stereo while playing Wembley doubles. When I shared a clip of me singing this song live in my studio recently, Kevin from N-Trance hit me up (I know, mental) and asked me to do a full version. Here it is along with some footage I shot around Hawaii - enjoy. Love ya!'

About Sam Ryder
In 2020, as the world went into lockdown, Sam Ryder uploaded the first of his now infamous covers that quickly caught the attention of some famous fans (think Elton John) with compilations appearing on The Ellen Show & BBC's Newsbeat. As the content kept coming, so did the fans, amassing 10 million on socials by the end of the year. Fast forward to 2021 and Sam was crowned as TikTok's most popular UK artist account for the second year in a row.
In 2021, Sam released his 5-song EP 'The Sun's Gonna Rise' including track 'Whirlwind' that describes Sam’s journey - spending much of his adult life writing and performing in bands, living in Hawaii and owning a vegan coffee shop; before he decided to pursue his dream of becoming a solo artist.
Sam's first show in London sold out in under 10 minutes, nearly as quickly as his first full UK tour. Ready to make his first live foray into Europe and beyond, world domination in 2022 might not be a stretch too far for this incredible talent.

I've loved this song for a long time, so much so it was played at our wedding. I've also listened to your songs, but moreover, the empathy, the way you connect with how the song was meant, it's intention (if you will). This version is a wholehearted portrayal of that - amazing, breathtaking, heart stopping and absolutely engaging - and even more so with the video. My words will never be able to mirror quite how amazing your portrayal was, but know it touched my heart - as all music should.
