There are great singers and Sam is obviously one of them. But there are few singers who perform with such authenticity that their connectedness with the audience leaves them spellbound. When Sam was performing I thought he owns the stage like Freddie Mercury. Then I saw Roger Taylor on drums and thought yes this is where Sam is at! Truly exceptional talent and I look forward to seeing more. Thanks Sam, you're amazing!

There's so much effortless joy in his performance. When he hits the high note at the end, and then goes up again even *higher*... like it's easy as anything... just incredible. Add onto that it's a beautiful song with lyrics full of hope, and the dancers were wonderful. What a combo. Sam Ryder is last year's winner for me... Amazing voice, vibrant personality, great song. Cornelia Jakobs also had an authentic performance. She has a special voice. Overall, last year's level was higher than this year. Let's see what happens next year, in Sweden.
