@@gengarpuss1810 Of course it's not evil! It's such a monumental achievement that much of human history can be identified by how many years events happened before or after the release of 1989 Belgian techno anthem Pump Up The Jam.
@@smashley7210 Especially with how he locked them in an escape room with a bomb outside of it they needed to disarm. Real old time villain stuff there.
@@MaenwenCap They did use both which is far better than how most people use they/she (which are the provided pronouns on their dropout appearances) for someone presenting femme. (for lack of a better term) Though everyone around Vic do use they and they have gone on record that the her is more for expediency than pure preference.
The saddest thing is that Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze were actually the villains in Batman and Robin, not Batman Forever 😔 (Batman Forever was Two Face and the Riddler).
UM ACTUALLY… Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze were actually the villains in batman and robin, not batman forever - batman forever was two face and the riddler. Do I get a point?
I'm surprised not one of the contestants said "Freeze" to try and trick the others into losing a point. Afteral, sam said "Freeze whenever you HEAR the word freeze, 'sam says' in front of it or not"
It's tricker it pull off then it looks. If you're all standing still it's brings up what counts as freezing and human reaction times. If it's in the middle of activity you could easily lose a point yourself or you're personally targeting one of the players.
I feel like this is something Brennan would have absolutely pulled if it was one of his episodes. Probably would have ended in a rant. "Oh, I'm sorry. Did you not realize the POWER you have given to us, Sam?"
As Vic made very clear through this episode, the players must form a united front! Except for Vic who can freely sabotage the others at their convenience
"The Chinese Empire was a powerhouse of intense creativity and philosophical thought, captured in historical documents produced centuries before the release of unrelated Belgian techno-anthem: 'Pump up the Jam'."
@@gjeanf2005I think the logic is that “freezing” includes “freeze” in terms of sound so frozen wouldn’t count but freezing does. although it makes me wonder about words that sound alike. under those rules frees (like in “she frees herself from the handcuffs”) should also count
Always. Every time forever. Not to mention their amazing humor. ...Vic might be the only celebrity crush I've had since the days of Allison Scagliotti as Claudia Donovan in Warehouse 13...
"Who was the villain in Batman Forever?" I started listening carefully since i am a nerd. And lobehold, a trap right there. Also, sidenote. When i started typing "Batman", my phone autocorrected it to "Brennan"
Only after watching it several times do I get the true evil nature of the last song. All those words sounding so close to "freeze" and then finally an actual "freeze"
I still hold that by the rules stated by Sam it is "whenever you hear the word FREEZE you freeze" and therefore any instance of someone saying "Freezing" in the bus does not fuckin count
why did they not freeze at 1:24? Sam said "the music did say "freeze"". So technically they heard the word freeze, so the should have frozen according to the rules. So even a player could have said freeze, and they yould have had to freeze.
He was explaining the rules, instead of trying to play the game. It's like how it's illegal to say “I want to kill the president of the United States of America”. It’s illegal, it’s a federal offense. It’s one of the only sentences you’re not allowed to say. Now, it was OK for me to say it just then because I was telling you that it’s illegal to say “I want to kill the president of the United States of America”. I’m not actually saying it, I’m just saying it’s illegal to say it. It’s kind of like a public service, I’m letting you know so that you didn’t go out, and accidentally say something like that. But what’s really interesting, is that it’s illegal to say “I really really want someone out there to kill the president of the United States of America”. That’s illegal, extremely illegal. Very very illegal. But not illegal to say “with a mortar launcher”, because that’s its own sentence. It’s an incomplete sentence, but it may have nothing to do with the sentence before that, so that’s perfectly fine. Perfectly legal. I also found out it’s incredibly illegal, extremely illegal, to go on RU-vid and comment something like “the best place to fire a mortar launcher at the White House would be from the Rockefeller-Huitt building, because of the minimal security and you’d have a clear line of sight to the presidents bedroom”. Insanely illegal. Ridiculously, recklessly, insanely illegal. Yet even more illegal would be to show an illustrated diagram. INSANELY illegal. Ridiculously, horribly, felonious. They will come to your house in the middle of the night and lock you up. Extremely against the law. One thing that is technically legal to say, is that “we have a group that meets Fridays under the Brooklyn bridge and the password is Sic Semper Tyrannis”.
They are in a far more neutral state when Sam says freeze those times unlike when freeze is normally brought up. Human reaction times and inability to stay completely still exist in the Sam says verse.
The command was "freeze whenever you HEAR the word freeze, sam says in front of it or not." The two who didn't hear the song say the word "freeze" were correct to keep dancing.
@@goodpeople25 da fuq you on about? That's exactly the type of pedantry they play with and it is entirely accurate, as of 1992 when they made his backstory
@@kellywilliam3708 You really want to continue doubling down that Mr Freeze is never referred to as Mr Freeze but rather Mr Fries? Cause that's the only way the game would be wrong.
They did hear it by definition. Sam even provides the evidence where on the bus Vic lost an extra point for not freezing as they were in earshot and the others weren't. Heck Izzy was expected to lose points in her game.
They could have, but they were all too busy trying to deal with Sam's shit to start shit of their own 😂 ...part of me wanted to make a joke about how saying "shit" cost me points to the swear jar, but then Bowdlerizing that sentence the way they did in the episode produced very ick results...
That's just it. Game Changer isn't about the contestants winning amongst each other. It's the contestans vs Sam Reich. They totally could have said freeze, but they were mostly united against the common enemy.
There's a reason freeze came up in regards to dancing, partying or in the middle of other prompts. It's less effective in periods of inactivity and during active moments the nature of the game mean it'll either be single target or when you are also moving making it more likely to also lose a point yourself.
