I really wish that Sam Shamon could debate a much more mature and knowledgeable Mormon LDS Church member in order to discuss how the male membership came into the possession of the Aaronic and Melchizedek Priesthoods through Joseph Smith. Or maybe why the cult’s Temple ordinances and signs are so closely related to the practices of Freemasonry. But it will never happen since this cult does not like to discuss its doctrine outside its religious community. Like all the other religious cults, please avoid them.
I agree with you, Sam but brother, you are being a poor example of self control and managing your tongue. Losing your temper is not the way to validate your points. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
He represents Christianity very well. Self righteous and arrogant. No wonder why most people he’s debated have left mid debate. They’re like good lord I can’t take this no more. And then he claims victory once they left
1- All things= Time, space, heavens, universe and earth, visible and invisible. ✓ 2- Who is the creator before all things? God✓ 3- The Son is before all things ( the brain started to melt)
With time, “firstborn” became a title of privilege that didn’t necessarily indicate a literal firstborn male. Thus God says he will make David his firstborn (Ps. 89:20, 27), though David was the last son in his family (1 Sam. 16:10-11). In context, the reference to David as God’s firstborn is clarified as “the highest of the kings of the earth,” indicating a position of preeminence, not of age. Similarly, God describes Israel as his firstborn (Exod. 4:22), though Israel was not chronologically the first nation. God also describes Ephraim as his firstborn (Jer. 31:9), though Ephraim was not the chronologically first tribe. It is as a title of preeminence that the term “firstborn” is used for Jesus in the first-century hymn to Christ that Paul records in Colos- sians 1:15-20. In the ancient world, hymns were sung to deities, and this hymn puts Christ in that class. He is the firstborn “of” creation in that he is preeminent over creation, the same way David was king “of” Israel-i.e., king over Israel. That Jesus is not a created being is indicated by what the hymn says next: “For in him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities-all things were created through him and for him. He is before all things. . . . He is the beginning . . . that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fulness of God was pleased to dwell” (Col. 1:16-19). If all things were created through Christ, if he existed before all things, then he is not a created being. (Jehovah’s Witnesses put the word “other” between “all” and “things” to avoid the implication Christ isn’t a created being, but that’s not what the Greek says.) Jesus possessed “the fulness of God” and thus had equality with God (John 5:18, Phil. 2:6).
Sam is Catholic? He's missing the part where God forbids talking to the dead. That includes Mary and the Saints. How can such a studious man miss that. There's a whole range of herecies in the catholic Bible. How is he blind to that?
If you want to get respect for debating people, find those in your own weight class dude. This crap just makes you look worse than the people you debate.
Mormonism may be fantasy, but Sam relentlessly interrupts and his smug nature makes him unwatchable. This guy is about as far from Christlike as I can imagine. Humble yourself a bit and quit interrupting.
sorry sam ... here's the big problem for you, and all so-called christian churches, that you refuse to acknowledge ... and you cannot get around it. jesus founded his church on prophets and apostles. the scriptures clearly tell us that, many times. there is only one church today that has prophets and apostles. the restored church of jesus christ. "the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints" which you refer to as mormons. not any of yours. and the fact that people call them "mormons" instead of their true name; "the church of jesus christ, of latter-day saints" proves their unchristian dishonesty. the church of god in the time of the prophets, (the old testament) was built on the foundation of the prophets, i. e. upon those doctrines and doctrinal truths deliver'd by them. the church of god under the new testament, is built not only on the foundation of the prophets, but of the apostles, Rev. 21:14. this is precisely what paul affirms in ephesians 2:20 where he says that the church is “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, christ jesus himself being the cornerstone” (cf. rev. 21:14; also 1cor. 3:10-11 in context). the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints is the ONLY church today built on a foundation of apostles and prophets. not protestants. not catholics. period. end of discussion.
Sam is just another hardup blowhard. He himself is not an authority in the Catholic Church, but pushes others around “as if he was authorized to interpret scripture.” He has an edge with Muslims but still he shows a shovenistic part of his character when he considers others who don’t bow down to his interpretation of obscure concepts. I can debate him any day and leave him in the dust. And so can anyone with 10 ounces of logic and charity in their character
Thank you for your contribution. Scripture teaches also of false prophets. Many false prophets that will come and lead people astray. I would like you to show us where in the scripture that Jesus said that his church will have the perpetual office of apostle and that His church would be founded perpetually on prophets because the verses you quoted don't do that. The term "Mormons" was a term that Joseph Smith used. The church has used that term to describe themselves for decades and decades. In more recent years the name Mormon became a meme generator and so the modern Mormon Church is trying to rebrand to The Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints. The problem is that this name is a mouth full and so people just use "mormon" instead. There is no dishonesty in this.
It has to do with Peter, the Rock on which I will the Church. Apostolic sucession is of the Catholic church. The Way, the Truth, and the Life is uncreated. It is the I Am That Am
@@jorgeramirez4675 that’s why it’s called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and the Catholic Church has no Jesus Christ but rather Universalism.😉
