Never in my life I would’ve thought that I could relate to this song. Been in a happy 3-years relationship with my boyfriend. We traveled together to 3 countries, we had a dog, we participated in each other’s big days and I even proposed to him on his birthday. Shortly after that I discovered that he was cheating on me with multiple people. It broke my heart. I never said a thing. I just left. Even leaving the dog behind with him. And he knew damn well what he did exactly. I’m never the same after that and I’ll never be. I’m still healing and breathing and that’s what matters.

Sam Smith has matured so much since first singing this song. You can notice it in the key he chooses and the power he brings to that key in his vocals. It's like he doesn't even need the backing vocals.
Key is the same, but his tone and inflection has matured. Singers often change theuir songs over time out of boredom from repeat performances, but he has done it very subtly and artfully

Tbh these songs were peak Sam Smith era, I like most of their work now but I've gotta say the older songs are the ones that really wow me and resonate. Incredible vocals as always.

Recuerdo que cuando salió esta canción quedé impactado con la actuación de Diana, le dije a mi novio, Dios quien podría engañar a ella, nos reímos tanto, meses después la canción se hizo canon, rompimos el compromiso, me enteré de sus infidelidades, prácticamente la canción se materializó, la infidelidad te rompe, te cambia, no le deseo a nadie ese dolor, entendí perfectamente el dolor de la actriz en carne propia.
I’ve always liked this song, las year found out my ex wife who I was with her for 8 years cheated on me, she left the apartment and decided to come by maybe like a month later she was already living with the other person while we were still legally married one day she shows up at the apartment in which we lived together she tells me that a couple weeks ago she was pregnant but the week prior she did another pregnancy test and it was negative now she ended having a miscarriage… I went through so much pain anxiety depression even suicidal thoughts for everything she put me through.
