Yup, raw and uncomplicated, the way blues should be played. This trio was the best with the superb Go-Go and Scott. Samantha has developed musically in the intervening years but the result has diminished. Get back to basics Samantha, we miss you.

I did the same thing,randomly picked her after watching a bunch of other female guitar players and was blown away by her playing and singing ability. All the others I watched seemed to want to impress you by shredding while she plays with feel. Randomly found a new favorite guitarist in her that's for sure.

+Christopher Edge Me too. Samantha and the other amazing ladies, no matter what style they played or sang, were awesome. They should be more well known then those lame pop divas that we've been forced fed for the last few years.

Look; Imagine spending all this time and effort on a skill. and then instead of comments on that skill, you have someone making a sexual remark like that. Especially when you're already in a field where it's notoriously difficult for women to be admired for their craft instead of their physical appeal. You said it best. I don't know where her roots come from, but nobody is bringing the roots the way she is. Look at the different styles of guitars she chooses to make her music with. And this trio, featuring Go Go Ray on drums and Steve on bass. I've watched several of her videos on RU-vid, and she seems to be at her best when it's simple and improvised just like this. She's got a gift.
