Been watching WWF since the 80s as a kid. No ring announcer gave me goosebumps/chills/excitement before a match like Samantha has . She a legend already

Grew up watching Lillian and the Fink. Irvin has a different style than them so I guess it depends on your preference but personally I think she's the best ever. I believe she has created a new style that will be emulated by many others in the future

It's a common reaction. When people notice how amazing you are, they cheer you on. When they see you're fully hyped, the same people that cheered you on will say you're not all that. When gatekeepers dictate what's real and what's not when something they like goes mainstream.

When they say you're not Howard and Lillian, that just means she's on the right path. That being said, it's just her and Howard at this point IMO.

I will NEVER understand this lame ongoing debate. Why do people have to make it into some stupid contest? Why does one have to be better than the other? You never see people bashing Corey Graves or other commentators saying "Oh, JR or Monsoon were way better". When Justin Roberts became ring announcer, you didn't see people bashing him saying that Howard Finkel or Tony Chimel were better. So why are people always giving Samantha grief for it??

This may be an unpopular opinion but I don’t care. As much as I loved Howard and Lilian from my childhood, Samantha is better than both of them. She really knows how to amp up the emotion into her announcing. WM40 is proof of this

Not to disrespect Lilian but Samantha's announcing skills are better if we compare when they started. Lilian eventually got better progressively. Still Howard Finkel for me remains on another level.

Yeah the only thing I hear now is “Irvin’s better” just cause she does voices for a few of the stars. But can y’all stop doing that? She’s just doing great because she’s doing her own thing like they were. No...she's not Howard and she's not Lillian. With that said, in my opinion, whem it ccomes to ring announcing and that alone, she's WAY BETTER than Lillian was, and when it comes to her vocal presentation, dare I say she's DEFINITELY on Howard's level AND you can hear a little bit of Howard finkel in her delivery. Samantha Irvin is RIDICULOUSLY amazing as a ring announcer. Idk why people are throwing negative energy at her bc just the fact alone that we are debating on wether or not she's the goat, means she's at least one of the greats and in such a short time,might I add. Last thing I'll say is having Her as the ring announcer is "one of the many spokes on the wheel" of WWE being cool again.

Im sorry, when has a Ring Announcer in WWE ever actually had this much attention? Say what you want about Samantha but we’ve never had a ring announcer that is also a persona on this level. The closest was Lilian Garcia. Samantha huge leg up is from social media which Lillian & Howard don’t have. But I don’t remember Howard or any of the male ring announcers being anything more than a ring announcer
