I miss top of the pop it was great you can see many celebrities with your friends you can have a fun and you just ordered the ticket every Friday day the change all the good things by my beloved
The amazing thing about her is that even when I haven't heard the tunes for years because she didn't get nearly the acclaim she deserved, they are still in my head!
One of the rare times the live performance is as good as the album version. Stunning woman, tremendous talent. It sucks her career was ruined by the politics of the record industry.
@@becky977 That's funny, because practically every artist in this country is completely over represented through BAME, most singers are ethnic in this country, what the hell are you talking about, quit with the race attacks. Do you own a TV.
She has something britney spears like. I think this a also a factor of her succes. Her music is kind of britney, her dancing. Even how she sings the word „me“ is like britney. But shes very talented i lover samantha
In 2002, Mumba released a new single "I'm Right Here". The video features Damian Marley, son of Bob Marley. The single became Mumba's fifth UK and Irish top five single. Rumours circulated that Mumba was getting ready to release a second album, Woman and that due to the poor sales of the lead single "I'm Right Here" in the US and a short lived time on the UK chart, she was dropped from her label. However, Mumba has since confirmed she was unable to release any new material anyway, due to contract restrictions following the restructure of Polydor Records, which resulted in her being dropped. In 2007, she stated on the Late Late Show that there never was a second album, and the tracks leaked on the internet were attempts by her to find a new sound.
@@s.scarlett7835 yeah he was as samantha mumba was over there allot like she is now and also if you check it out he was in one of the christina Aguilera videos too
This was one of her first big performances when the single broke. The song's key is very low, which makes it difficult to perform live especially if dancing, which is probably why we she didn't dance as much here. But eventually they would lip sync and do a full out dance performance during live showings for this song, and live sing her other hits instead.
She lives in America somewhere as I was talking to my family and they were saying she was performing in Utah for this music festival last year so she still performing
Think this was the closest battle for number 1 at the time.. its was within a few hundred copies sold from its rival Eminem at the time .. sadly this was leading all the way until Saturday night such a close call ... I was gutted as I loved this more than Eminem at the time 😅
My god my ears, the pitching is terrible. She was a really arrogant person had no respect for people. Jonathan Shalit did a documentary on her in 2007, trying to relaunch her career & she was so arrogant like she expected it. Can't remember the name of it.
Why don't you get up on stage and sing this song then. When a song is this low on the voice. You can't go dancing like fucking Madonna. For her being a teen girl at this time she did very well. And is at least singing her verse of the song, even the high note. Unlike almost every Teen idol at that time. (Ashley Simpson, Britney Spears (who I understand why) Miley Cyrus) Etc.
With the right promotion and support from Louis walsh and label then she could have been our answer to Britney or someone like that.. highly talented she had the whole package
