Born into a Sunni Khoja Muslim family in Mumbai, Mrs. Banatwala's journey to Swami was marked by skepticism, miracles, and a deep transformation of faith.
Initially critical of Swami's miracles, it was through her saintly husband, whose search for a Guru led him to Bhagawan, that Mrs. Banatwala began her spiritual journey. Witnessing several miraculous events, she embraced Swami's divinity and teachings wholeheartedly.
Throughout her life, Mrs. Banatwala was a dedicated servant of Swami's mission. She served as the Convener of the Andheri Samithi of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation (SSSO), Mumbai, and the Seva Dal Convener for Mumbai and Maharashtra. As a Balvikas Guru, she conducted classes in Juhu and the slums of Andheri East, guiding young minds with Swami's teachings.
A vibro practitioner for the past eight years, Mrs. Banatwala also ran a tailoring class at Dharmakshetra, helping young girls from nearby slums become self-sufficient. Known for her loving and caring nature, she was always ready to serve those in need.
