Great discussion about the difference of Healing vs Cured. You both are allowing us to move toward deeper healing (Aceepting Life on His terms) Chantal you spoke truth. Thanks
Russell and A.J., in minute @17:00, you talk about Daniel 3, but it seemed that perhaps you skirted a little the magnitude of what they were saying. The CAN/WILL/EVEN IF NOT concept is a great one to explore, but probably has more teeth than you gave it. ("It's His hear, I know Jesus longs to heal...") Inasmuch as v17 (NKJV) gives some distinction between those... "If that is the case, our God whom we serve IS ABLE to deliver us from the burning fiery FURNACE, and HE WILL deliver us from YOUR HAND, O king." Not only would I want the message to be clearly presented as "God CAN and wants to heal," but also, "God WILL heal." We need to say what The Word says with boldness, without fear (of 'what if it doesn't happen?'). It could be that God spoke to the three about this one instance, the furnace, and that what they said applies only here, which we should give more oomph to, that God WILL deliver us from this. It is also possible that God was expressing something further, that "He will deliver us from your hand" completely... as in, this furnace isn't all the king could have thrown at them, but God was expressing that they would also not be in any future danger from the king. I know this one is already "in the can," but I do hope that in the future, as we explore our doctrinal stances on things, we will go the distance in these moments and present the fulness and opportunities of seeking/hearing/knowing God's express will and saying nothing short of that. God bless you guys. I'm really enjoying what you're doing.
