I believe that's semi frozen ground..that's why it's so slick and he's having traction problems. The ground has started to thaw on top but is still frozen below giving a thin layer of slippery muck on the surface but everything else is hard. Gorgeous big S A M E by the way..
I'd say more than likely it's a Company Rep doing the cultivating, rather than a self respecting farmer, proving just what the ' Big Tyres " will do in the most adverse conditions, having said that, the cultivator ( not sure what you'd call it, sort of a scarifier ) is doing a remarkable job of, not only a very messy paddock but the mess being made, while working the ground. March has been very wet in DK but the ground is drying up now in most places. With 3-4 more days with dry weather I think it will be dry enough to start preparing the fields for the spring crops.
How many farmers do you see working ground in the mud? 🤣 I dont understand these videos. Yes it goes threw hard mud. Not true soft field mud. Even then, we ain't working ground when its wet.
