I practically lived there for over a month in 2008. Shout out to Taylor, the wonderful receptionist. When I had a squeaky bed one night, I told the owner, and in the evening I found I had a new bed.
I stayed there back in 2017 tbh I wasn’t a huge fan of the hostel or Venice for that matter I wanted to stay in a different hostel in Santa Monica but it was completely booked so I chose the Venice hostel. The boardwalk at night was a wild place to be it definitely lived up the phrase “the freaks come out night” because lawd have mercy there were some characters that showed up after sunset I did like the beach access/skate park area I gave it a 6.5/10
Hey Klara, thanks for the video. Would you overall recommend HI Santa Monica or samesun venice? It’s just one night so barely matters but wouldn’t mind another opinion. 😅
Absolutely! It's a great location if you want to be close to the beach, and if it's only for one night YES good breakfast (compared to other hostels) and close to airport 👍😊
thank you v much for giving detailed information abt this hostel , do they have a laundry area , coin laundry or any facility to wash n dry clothes in this hostel ??
How busy was it when you were there? I’m planning on staying in The area Tuesday/Saturday, first week of March any other recommendations? I’m going with two of my friends and we’re all lgbt
It was fully booked (if I remember it right from the booking site), it is a popular choice for hostels in LA especially if you want to be close to the beach! So I would book in advance if I were you! But if you need recommendations of other hostels around the LA area watch these: ru-vid.com/group/PL_GQfbfmtO_GvsHOgvljuHLb8Hr1AdlPo
Estoy viendo viajar en agosto y estoy entre este Hostel y el hi Hostel de Santa Mónica, las playas creo que están cerca, no. ? Gracias por tu video . Saludos
