It's finally time for the Samhain season, spooky season is my favourite season, so my Samhain altar, is usually always my favourite.

I enjoy making a "mini" seasonal altar. For example: for Samhain/Halloween I'll be making an altar inside a pumpkin using it as a bowl and filling it with all natural items. This way I can recycle the whole altar as an offering to the wildlife in the woods beside our home. 🎃 🌼 🌹

Beautiful alter, I’m celebrating my very first Sawain, and my mom got me 2 wax melters, one being a simple lamp with a dish on top, and the other being a Dia De Los Meurtos (day of the dead - Mexican holiday) skull, which is beautifully decorated with florals and dots. Although I am of Mexican heritage, we actually don’t celebrate most Mexican holidays or traditions, but I do love the colors and just the history of it. I recently did a deep clean of my room and put the skull, as I plan to switch between each lamp. I also received 3 sets of wax melts, one blue fairy forest theme, one purple fairy forest theme, and one black day of the dead theme, each have their own unique scents, just can’t remember off the top of my head. I’ve been melting the black as I know the color black can be used for protection and it’s just very fitting overall. I have a cat and he doesn’t mind it, so it’s a pet safe alternative but always make sure you do your own research if you have pets. I have an outdoor altar because my kids are all over everything, but I really wanted to at least have SOMETHING inside, so now I have a mini ancestor Altar in my China cabinet 😂

Anyone have ideas about how to keep your cats from messing up your altar? Most of my furniture is small / low to the ground because the apartment is so small!

I can’t thank you enough for the idea of using the incense that way. I am very allergic to any smoke. I literally cannot breathe if there is smoke. I have used oils in an oil burner but these can be a bit overpowering at times. I don’t know why I never thought of this but I don’t think I ever would have. Thank you again for this. Happy Samhain.

I've never thought about putting loose incense in a wax warmer, I love that idea! Over the years I've had two altars, one for ancestors and one for the season. I really like how you combined yours, turned out beautiful! 🎃Those pumpkins are adorable! 🎃

No altar this year, but definitely going into spooky season with pazzaz! Mulling cider, gonna flip through our genealogy books and we're gonna have dinner with these apple/harvest themed plates that was inherited from a relative. So I'm pleased because 1) seasonally appropriate and 2) feels like we're including/honoring my more immediate family who have since passed. Hearth, I LOVE the idea of using the oil warmer for loose incense! Great way to still work with the herbs & resin, and experience the aroma but without smoke. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I've never seen resins been burnt this way. I've seen it done with vegetable oil and the resins in but not this way.

I use breath cleansing too, during my practice. I feel it not only charges the deck with my essence, but removes any essence form other entities that may have had an encounter with my tools. :)

You've given me a few ideas. I know I'm cutting it close since Samhain is tomorrow, but work and life in general has been running me ragged lately. But I hope to finish setting up my altar today. My altar will lean more ancestral/Day of the Dead than Samhain-focused, but you have inspired me to include a few more crystals than I usually would, as well as a pumpkin-shaped candle that I love. Random Q: have you thought of doing a video about how you whiten your teeth and do skin care? Your skin is so clear and teeth are brilliantly white! Black lipstick usually shows how yellow teeth are to me ... but it looks perfect on you.

Lovely altar and a fab tip on the incense. I use sticks cones and an oil burner with rose water, oil and dried herbs. I will try without the rosewater. When I next go to glastonbury i will buy some incense, was eyeing it up last time. Plus, really need to get a horned god and a goddess statue, the poppet too :)

I'm still in the middle of moving house and so I'm trying to give myself some grace even though this is my favorite Sabbat too! Well I enjoy all for their own reasons I suppose but I loved Halloween even before I was pagan. I'm watching this hoping it will inspire me to make an altar tonight that I'm at peace with even though it won't be anything like last year! Lovely. A friend has a made a Druids grove in another country to me. I was just thinking while watching your video that it is a good time to link an alter to the grove with gifts specifically for the grove. What do you think about this and when you make your alter, do you place with intention, stating your wishes for the alter or do you just place andlet the energies of the item to bring the energies .?

I like the idea of the oil burner,, dont you need to add water or oil to it for burning the herbs and resin?? I ask because I want to do that with my ceramic burner but I'm afraid that maybe it gets too hot and crack 😅

What a lovely altar. Thank you for telling us about burning herbs without the smoke. As Im new to Wicca I was wondering how I could burn them without a lot of smoke as Id read that inhaling a lot of smoke is bad for you. Thanks for the info.

I have that same oil burner! Does the oil ever splat around at all when you burn your oil? Cause I've been having that problem with mine lately and it is peeling the paint off my alter shelf, and a bit of my wall lol

Hello heart I have a couple of questions I'm first of all I love your dress too cute I love bats but anyway about the ancestor sowing altar can I use pictures and maybe books I have from my grandparents as far as heritage to represent them on my altar and what are the best incense to use I have a lot of ancestors that actually are from the UK and I'd like to honor them as well? Hi there, have very little space, so when I do an alter, it has to be packed back, as the space has to be reused for other projects. Would be great to see a video on a alter that would cover most things that can be easily packed.

Hi! I'm here looking for help because I'm a baby witch, and I'm not sure if I'm doing things right. I actually don't have a deity I have a constellation, that constellation is lupus. Lupus is a wolf presumably killed by Hercules. I love wolves and I don't know if believing in a constellation as a deity is right, please let me know if it is!

Hi I just have a question when doing a spell that requires the full moon does the exact time that the full moon becomes full when I should do the spell or should I just do the spell any time on the day of the full moon?
