This is a good move from Toyota. Ogier is either going to retire this year or next year. Elfyn is 35, and Taka is 31. In at least 5 years both won't be doing a full season at least. If Sami and not succumb to the pressure and do well in Finland(show decent pace and not crash) I wont be surprised if he drives Part time for factory team next year.

No, he hasn't got the raw speed or natural talent. Work ethics yes, but the raw speed just isn't there. With the very favourable starting position, not many Rally 1 teams introducing new drivers this late in the season, he might be top 5 after Friday. But I tend to think not. I mean he hasn't shown that kind of pace. He might finish in top 5 with many retirements, but otherwise perhaps about the same speed as Fourmaux or Katsuta. With the fastest machine out there..
@@kingkreole9121 well i said with a bit of luck. For sure he will not be so fastest as Rovanpera or Ogier (speaking only about Toyota drivers) but i bet he could be fastest than Evans. Lets see!

Mutta pöly nousee...; jos noin kuivaa , niin en tuu perheen kanssa kattoo rallia, siksi kun pöly-haitta...mitä enemmän käyn Livenä katsoo rallicrossia : sitä vähemmän tekee mieli tulla wrc-kilpailuihin seisomaan narujen takaa_ ja näet auton 2 sekuntia + pöly-haitta...moottoripyörällä vois tulla, mutta sekin on huonompi vaihtoehto kui' netissä Live' katsominen...Oj niitä aikoja 1990~ kun vielä pääsi lähelle spååria....
