It's the soccer background, here in Europe we're very used to make our voice heard. We chant to support our team, we chant individuals, we chant against the referee, we chant against the other team, we chant against the other team's stars, we even chant for the bitter rivals of the opposing side just to piss them off. Losing your voice after you've gone to a big sporting event is basically a must for most Europeans, it's what we pay for! Some of the best things I've seen come from European crowds like the time local hero Ivan Cervantes managed to pass indoor enduro superstar Taddy Blazusiak on the last lap to get the win in Barcelona. I was there and the crowd went NUTS, over 90 seconds of roar to the point you could not hear much of the engines. It was just one voice going over everything, people celebrating what seemed an impossible only minutes before. Another great one was during Monster Jam's 1st visit to Barcelona. Charlie Pauken went insane driving Grave Digger, pulling huge wheelies and jumps ultimately rolling to a halt. The crowd had never seen something like that before and they told Monster Jam and Pauken that through a roar that lasted so much the emergency team came out, they got Charlie out and it still went on for an extra 20-30 seconds. Crowds can be extremely supportive too. Who can forget the French singing their national anthem to their rugby team during the 2007 World Cup? It felt like a movie, with the crowd putting the soundtrack to the epic of their 15 warriors against the English team. The French lost but the image of the French offensive with their national anthem sang by their countrymen got burned in my mind through the TV.
I miss this old Sami Zayn who deserved better than what WWE gave him in the past because he deserved to be at least one of the top mid carders on the main roster having feuds with The Miz and Kevin Owens and Shinsuke Nakamura
This was the first Wrestling show I ever attended, and the atmosphere was unreal! We shouted and cheered our hearts out, and even though Sami's entrance was "after" the main show, he got maybe the biggest pop of the night. I will never, ever forget Takeover London
Coming back to this video, I can't help but be extremely frustrated. Other than Daniel Bryan, Sami Zayn is the best pure babyface I have seen in the last decade. He is the perfect underdog, so why has he been a heel for SO LONG in WWE, does Vince just not get him?
