Yodsanklai's knees look like they hurt a lot but samkor is taking it like it's just a slap on the wrist. I wish someone had the full version of this fight. /: i look up to both of these fighters a lot. I just now found out that they fought each other.
Man look samkor is older then yod but if samkor was the same age of yod and buakaw samkor would beat the but samkor is a legend and a beast of the best left kick
Samkor is far past his prime and still held his own. And to be honest, Samkor's legendary kick still looks more explosive and powerful than Yod's. That's amazing. But to be fair, Yod is more well-rounded and complete. Sam was never great with his hands. Sam was even smaller and relatively out of shape compared to when he was young and looked like a pitbull against the younger Yod. This was awesome.
Yod fought legendary Nak Muays, but we haven't seen Buakaw did that. Well, Yod at this time still wasn't the Lion he is now and he's not in his prime. Samkor fought like he's in a war. He's incredible. Being able to exchange blows with Samkor is one heck of a thing to do xD
exactly right! I been saying the very same thing . Buakaw never fights top Thai nak muays. Yod and sudsakorn, saiyok , saenchai all the other greats do but not Buakaw which is very disappointing on his part coz makes him look like a chicken only wanting to fight farang. At least fight Fabio Pinca then or antoine pinto

Karl Johnson that’s considered pretty old when you’re fighting in the prestigious stadiums. Prime age is much younger considering how much they fight. Samkor wasn’t washed by no means in this video but he wasn’t in his prime anymore.
@Karl Johnson prime years in muay thai are usualy your early twenties, it is pretty common to retire from thai circuit ground 23-24 with around 200-250 fight. And the more you rely on explosive technique, stenght and firepower, the steeper the decline curve gets. A large part of samkor's game is kicking hard as fuck and clinching, and that tends to fade à bit with age. It is impressive how good he still looked up against a younger yod
Have to commend Samkor. He was declining while Yod was entering his prime. Would be awesome if both were in their prime. Yod looks stronger in this fight.
Sports - When 2 or more people compote and sweat in the process. ( not fact, but it sure make sense ) . Here we have 2 people competing and sweating in the process. Therefore, it is a sport. Muay Thai is a also martial art, they used it to fight wars back in the days.. If Karate is a martial art then muay thai has to be a martial art... They practically do the same thing but in a different style.
Hard match up for samkor. He went for a clinch strategie that was his best chance since they are southpaw samkor left kick is not that effective. Yod had the boxing advantage.
@crhh1989 Muay thai its a Martial Art, because it was created for actual WAR, when thailand was in war with almost all his neighbour countrys in siam. thats why its call MARTIAL. all the culture, history, and sprititual stuff that revolves it, make it an ART. so, muay thai, its a MARTIAL ART. BOXING, has neither these 2 things. (i love boxing as much as Muay Thai)

@muaythai101 you are telling me Muay thai isnt a martial art? its a sport. we beter tell the peolple in thailand! muay thai is a Martial Arts. it is practiced as a sport. beacause its a martial art based in FIGHTING.
@sebathc well ive been to thailand,so i know how they view it.not to mention he was refering to the fight you are watching.which is a combative sport.its kinda like saying western boxing is a martial art....kind of but the way it is practiced is in sport therefore its a sport.

@Blahb27 where are you from¿?? im for Argentina, i practice martial arts and combat sports, and i think they are VERY DIFERENT things, in my country... only the people that practice martial arts knows the difference between them, other people just ignores there are VERY DIFFERENT THINGS. BUT THEY ARE, diferent names, diferent concepts, diferent things. the sword thing you said.. pretty stupid
@nikonxxx You do know UFC is just an MMA promotion right? Just like Dream, KOTC, ROTR, Strikeforce etc. Of course it does attract meat heads who don't know what's going on but that comes with the territory :)
maybe not so much in round 1 & 2 which are not on this video ; i believe it was a great leg kick fight on first round!!! love to see that too ; but knee & clinch is perfect and very engaged!
