Artist Sammy Baloji grew up in the Katanga province of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), an area shaped by the exploitation of both human and natural resources, particularly through mining.
We visit his studio in Brussels, Belgium, to find out more about how he uses photographic archives to unpick this complex history, and document complex legacies of colonialism.
