For people who don't understand why they did Helter Skelter, which is a Beatles song: Sammy told the story (obviously not in this video) that the first time he met Aerosmith is when he was with Montrose, opening for them. Montrose played Helter Skelter as the last song of their set.... not knowing that Aerosmith was opening their set with Helter Skelter.
😂 I was thinking that too. Was he confused ? Surely paying tribute with an Aerosmith song would have been better, I mean they did a few belters in their time. 😀

I remember thinking they were old as hell when they comeback in 1984...Then continued to release hits and started viable for the next 40 years. Mad respect! Thanks for the tribute Sammy!
Apparently the night before Sammy stated that when he was in Montrose they opened for Aerosmith and the last song Montrose played and the first song Aerosmith played was Helter Skelter, so there is some sort of connection but yeah I was really hoping he would of played Dream on or something. Oh well.
Much respect to Aerosmith knowing when you can’t perform at the highest level and know the fans deserve better. Shame other groups don’t have the same respect for the fans mentioning no names like motley crue who are just ripping fans off
It shows us how music has gone when we have seniors entertaining us. Good writing and playing seem to be a thing of the past. The younger generation is into electronics way too much and suggest Taylor Swift is one of the best.

i agree with this sammy is not the real true singer of van halen david lee roth was i mean sammy is awesome at singing and playing guitar but when eddie died van halen died eddie was the man that gave van halen the guitar sound i mean its great that sammy is keeping van halens music alive but come on sammy joe was not a good choice for the guitar player in your band and on tour sammy needs to retire after this tour and say good bye
