These songs would sell millions of downloads if they all could go viral for whatever reason. I have hundreds of classic 90s country on my phone but other than classic country it’s all pop like Ariana and Beyoncé Xd
Sammy is the greatest. I saw him perform at the Kansas City Convention Center before he was well known. There were only about a hundred people watching his performance and nobody even clapped their hands. I couldn't believe it so my family and I stood up and clapped and screamed as loud as we could. Sammy smiled from ear to ear so we moved up to the front row and cheered him and his band on. From then on it was like he was singing for us and it was freaking awesome. GO SAMMY!! Glad you made it.
People commenting here are SO right. the 90's had some seriously great country music and Sammy was right in there. I really don't want to be another discontent but the country today has very little good traditional music. I was so pleased with " You Ain't Dolly". Sounds like the old stuff. So many mistakenly think the " old stuff " is bad. NOT! I love the comments here by young people loving traditional country. There is still hope. Country Faye
@@AnthonyStJames I respectfully disagree. It wasn’t synthesizers that Alabama so big. Plus you had Hank Williams Jr., The Judds began in the late 80’s. The 80’s was a mixture of old country and new country. Don’t get me wrong. The 90’s was a great decade for country but it just didn’t have the mixture that the 80’s had.
Absolutely Adore Sammy Kershaw. Absolute Legend. This Song Perfectly Describes My Husband And I. God Kept Us Separate Until He Got His Stuff Together And When He Met Me The First Thing Out Of His Mouth Was "That's Gonna Be My Wife". Here We Are, Nearly A Decade Later!
This has got to be one of Countrys All time BEST songs...Sammy kershaw is not overlooked...he is just not in the main stream "pop" sound that Country music comes to expect from artists these days, Country just ain't what it used to be.. This is the good stuff right here!
I love how truly talented people get pushed out of Nashville and the country music seen only to have the crap out today. Talented singer songwriter and obviously could be actor if he wanted.
My school sweetheart passed away when a forklift driver bumped the crane he was on and I can't carry on without you my handsome and I still love and miss you my handsome 😢😢😢😢
Ahhh!!! that old thing called time!!! I love this song! NO!!! I HATE! this song!!! no just kidding!! one of the best country songs ever written!! Teresa the UK 🇬🇧
Yeah; time, after 20+ years, you run into an old friend that was sort of overlooked in school, and now you're both interested in trying to get together.
This song reminds me of my mom and dad and how they met. They just happen to work at the same truck stop, her as a waitress him as a diesel mechanic. They also just happened to be nextdoor neighbors as well. He usually brought his own lunch to work, but one day he overslept a bit, and didn't have time make a lunch. And she had to cover for another waitress on her day off. Was it a coincidence that he happened to choose her section for lunch that day, I don't think so. They met, dated for a while, got married and nine months I came along, then my sister five years later. Rest in peace Dad, we'll take care of mom until God calls her up to join you in heaven.
I met my husband in high school. He was the quiet kid. He graduated a year before me. 13 years later i found him on face book. We became friends. Next thing i know we fell for each other. This was in 2014. This year we celebrate our second wedding anniversary
Still here. Evolve with it. There were old farts complaining about Sammy, Joe, Garth, etc not being "real country" too because they didn't sound like Hank Sr. Don't be one of them.
I was already dating my now BEST FRIEND and LOVE OF MY LIFE for a couple years when this song came out, but the first time I heard the chorus I KNEW this was and still is our song! Love you J. ❤❤
l agree with you, indeed Sammy kershaw is a great and talented artist who's songs never goes out of style, he's one of my favorites artist, he's songs still and always heals the Soul, I pray God gives you lot of beautiful days.
I've listened to Sammy before, but I saw him, Aaron Tippin, and Joe Diffie in concert about 2 months ago, and ever since then I've gotten to like his music more and more

Just happen to run across this, and have to share my story. Back in the early 70's I fell hard for a boy in school (my first love, actyally) We had fun for a minute then lost contact with each other. Here it is 47 years later, and in 4 days I'm leaving my home town and flying out to spend 2 weeks with him, I have 1 layover and it is in Dallas-Fort Worth, he just split with his wife and the man I spent 18 years with just left me, so this song hit home, actually Sammy, you knocked it out of the ball park. Thank you 😊 💓
Sad to say, as I was cleaning out my storage unit and packing stuff up I got a "Dear Jane' (for those of you who don't get it... it's a reversal of a "Dear John" and for those to young its a text (back in the day it was a letter) telling me that because of health issues he doesn't think it would be fare to start a relationship. All I can say is WTH? O well hope he don't think I'm going to wait another 47 years.

🎶🎼💃🕺This is so true.....Looking around in my little World of life is fine Love in my Heart and mind. Honestly have to be Careful. Thanks very much for the wonderful words. 😍😘💖🕊🦋🕊
Heaven sent, is what I call my husband ❤️ met him a month after my mom's first birthday without her, the pain about swallowed me whole. We are just meant to be, he's heaven sent, sent for me ❤️
Google singing feature brought me here 😅😍🤩 omg! I was 12 yrs old when I used to hear this music on CMT lol I learned English thru country 😅 and even tho ima Texan I think these songs gave me a country accent 🤣
Politics, Religion, and Her was one of favorite albums ever. Any genre, I listen to every type of music imaginable, top to bottom, great album. Title track, Vidalia, remakes of Chevy van and Memphis, Tennessee. I love this song and "Fit to be tied down" was/is a hidden gem.
This and Love of my life are two of the most heartfelt sentimental songs I will always have in my memories due to the fact that "Missy" in the videos resembles my very first love of my life like a mirror image. I just look at her in these videos and it is a trip back to high school for me! Sometimes I look at her and the memories flow back it's scary!!!
Bring back 80/s90's Country Music! Back from when it was finest :) I personally don't care for Swift or Urban. Strait, Jackson, Travis, Kershaw and the rest for me :)
