Samoan Sasa-Inspired Focus Exercise (warmup) 

I like to use this focus exercise particularly with large groups of choristers. It is the opening of a Samoan Sasa or slap dance and it's a great way to get them moving and focused on working together.
I had the pleasure of living and working in Samoa from 1998-2000 as a Peace Corps volunteer. I checked this video with a trusted Samoan colleague to make sure I got it right. He mentioned that, as a child, they also did the Buffalo ("ooh hhh"). I find it's a great way to engage young singers and give them a tiny taste of the energy and excitement of Samoan traditional dance.
