I've been following you since 7 or 8k and I remember thinking I hope this kid keeps going because this is good stuff. I don't miss an episode even the fishing because I can always fish when there's no hunting season.
Im a Huge fan of Samong. The I love fact that he explains everything Im a novice hunter and i have no one to teach me so i learn a bunch from what he says.
The top 2 hunting channel’s on RU-vid. These two guys are crushing it while staying true to the core. I have a couple of videos on RU-vid but would love to learn more about the production and story telling as always Stay Gritty
I stumbled across Samong Outdoors a few months ago. Nate, Steve and Samong evoke memories of my own relatively limited hunting experiences with my friends in my 20s, 30s and 40s. We were never as dedicated or as skillful as these guys, but his videos capture the same themes of fun and comradery that made those trips so special, especially now that I'm in my 60s and I've lost some of those friends over the years. I watch and rewatch these episodes every day now. Great interview! Thanks!!
I've been watching Samong for years love his style and authencity!!! Keep it up! THANKS for the shout out for Samong, Gritty it's really cool to see u have him on!!!
The two channels with the most inspiring hunting videos on the internet. I like seeing the animals too, small and large, they add to the films. Samong has done a good job of that for sure.
Samong is legit! I’ve been watching him for a couple years now and he has always put out high quality shows! Nice to see him get recognition from Gritty! Keep it up!
Hate to admit on this channel it but I watched Samong (and his cousin Daniel Moua too) for awhile before I was aware of Gritty. I think he had about 300 subs when I started watching. I've learned alot from both channels. Thank you both!
Samong is amazing !!! My gal does not watch too many hunting channels but for some reason Samong just has something that draws her in. Both of you guys are in my top 3 YT channels and hope I can someday make a real hunting video for all to see.
What’s great opportunity for Samong. I imagine we will see him again on a future Gritty podcast. I think we have only seen the beginning. He will be very successful in his endeavors.
It is fantastic to see Samong and Nate getting recognition for their authentic, honest take on hunting and fishing. Thank you for interviewing them! I have been subscribed to his channel for about two years or more, and always enjoy every video; even the ones where things don’t go the way he would prefer. I also appreciate how he explains the regulations and information about the wildlife. A real classy outdoorsman!
Congratulations Samong! Nice to have met a friend like Nathan and have a good hunting partner. Keep bringing us along on REAL hunts, authentic I learned this today kind of hunts. Stay thankful! Thanks for sharing Brian Call!
Been watching Samong for about 3 years now and enjoyed every video. I finally got to meet him at the 2023 Portland Sportsman Show. Samong is a must see and greet. Also happy to see Samong with Gritty.
This was too cool to see/listen to this!! Huge fan of Samong as well! It's awesome to see one go from the beginning/bottom and start getting involved with the "bigger" guys through natural growth and involvement, true to the core people, all of which folks like myself someday aspire to even be able to sit and have conversations on a friendship level such as yourselves. Watching from the beginning as you "Brian" went from ol Gritty Bowmen, to what you do now with yourself and your partners/friends like Ryan. It's truly amazing and has been entertaining, thank you for all you fellas do!
I lived in north west Oregon some years ago and the only place more difficult to hunt deer and elk and be successful is Washington.. All of the films Samong makes are self filmed, extremely difficult as you well know Brian. Thank you for highlighting the work of this young man ...his films are outstanding.
Samong has one of the best channels out there. His channel is everything you would want in a hunting channel. His intelligence and hard work and dedication is amazing!
I like Samong because he doesn't push his products and push his sponsors. His videos are very natural and makes you feel as if you were there with him.
I stumbled on Simong Outdoors on RU-vid about the same time you mentioned him in a prior podcast. Loved the videos and structure of production. The capturing of the family involvement in the hunts was also appealing. I find both of your productions very entertaining and informative. Keep up the great work!
This was a great sit down to watch, love his hunting content and winter camping videos. You touched on supporting the up and coming gear manufacturers and that's part of the reason I watch everything you put out. Some of the gear I purchased recently was things you recommend and I'm super happy with them. Still looking for the seek outside pack review, hopefully that's still on your list.
went and watched the elk video wow such an awesome video and great bull and the shear emotion thats what huntin is about glad you had him on so all of us can start to follow his channel
Right from Samongs first video, I knew this is what I need to do, and his way of taking us along with him on his adventures makes you feel like you are there through his excellent work in editing and story telling. Plus another thing that always stood out to me was how if he came across trash in the woods, he packed it out. That means a bunch to me!
I was out in Washington with the navy the past 3 years and it was awesome watching his videos to learn how to hunt and fish the state that I was in! Lots of great info and great videos
Can’t wait to crack into this show! Big fan of Samong, he produces some awesome content and for a younger guy seems to be absolutely lethal to the critters he chases
As a full time filmmaker there's no better way to getting better than putting in the time, trial and error. Of course you have diamonds of ideas along the way the stand up over time but like anything, hours in the saddle can't be replaced. Always enjoy both you guys and your content. I'm born and raised here in Coeur d'Alene just across the border from Samong so his content is always great to watch being that it's real close to home. Thanks guys!
Good job Brian! Stepping up to promote a fellow hunter/filmmaker/young man. I appreciate it what you guys do. Can’t wait for spring bear. You have put a fire in me to pursue bear. Thanks. Don’t show my wife this. 😁
Big fan of Samong. I found him randomily in 2020. I think ive seen all his videos up to this point. Whats great about his content is that you really feel that ur right there in the hunt with him. Amazing job.
Long overdue podcast brother! Once I saw this podcast in my feed, I couldn't wait to see it. I actually left a comment on one of Samong's videos I recently viewed where I said, "I see a little GRITTY influence in your videos"! Great family story and a hard working young man right there!
Love this. I live in Spokane, and love to see this. I will definitely check their work out. Washington does have sneaky great whitetail hunting and birds of all sorts, especially turkey.
The cringe factor… so true. I appreciate the absence of the cringe factor on both your channels. Quite a few others, who shall remain unnamed that you’re absolutely right, they have those moments. Seems like there is a correlation with those same channels overplaying the music too. Keep it classy Call and Yang! Appreciate you.
Only southeast Asian really big game hunt in America 95% of them. My parents are the same as samong’s parents us being Mien a different ethnic group of ppl. My dad, uncles, and grandparents all hunt and fish. It was a way of life to survive in their country. Glad Samong is making it big in the hunting industry 👍👍southeast Asians really appreciate what America has to offer, we live in the best country in the world! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
I stumbled upon both The Gritty and Samong channel. I was looking for content that was actually going to be entertaining, educational and inspiring. You both have nailed it in your own ways. Hope to share a camp with you guys one day. Thank you for what you do.
@SamongYangOutdoors please countinue speak Hmong in your Video with your family. I cam from the same region in Southeast Asian, I can understand where your family came from. But can say this, Hmong is the most brave, and proud people. Your people are the only group that standup defend the country.
He’s a better and more real hunter than most on RU-vid. Let’s be real, most the big RU-vid channels, these guys just pay big money to go with a guide and just shoot animals that are prescouted. Samong hunts mostly public, far as I’ve seen on his channel, like the 90% of us normal Americans. I’m not trying to hate, but I just don’t have much respect for the rich guys who just rides in on a plane or utv and guide says, right there shoot, and he puts down a huge trophy. No impressed at all with this kind of rich guy hunts. Samong and his public land hunts are very impressive cuss most normal guys can do these hunts if they put in the work. Most of us can’t just go out there and do guided hunts on private land.
I like your RU-vid videos that you put out. Also, podcasts are very useful in learning and exciting to watch, especially when there are several bears in the same area you and Lambert did not notice. I have noticed you are improving in your videos.
