Option b-40 is the right option instead of c-35 in counting of square que.

Yes you are right, I missed 4 squares in middle of all four sides, each one made with the help of 4 smaller squares, and missed 1 square in the center made with the help of 4 small squares.

I had a query. How will paper 2A and 2B be conducted for students attempting both? Will we have to give a 6 hour long paper? Because i think both are 3 hour long each.
