Intro: JUST B - Damage I don't own these music, all credit goes to the artist Tags: #kpopsamples #samplesinkpop #kpopsamples2023 #straykidssamples #samplesinstraykidssongs #straykids #samples #freezesample
For anyone confused, this is perfectly normal and legal, most music producers do this and it certainly doesn’t take away from any talent that the boys have!
It's legal because they bought/acquired the licenses to use these tracks! It is plagiarism if an artist samples from another song without permission or the proper licenses.
so amazed by the fact that you can use the same sample in different songs and you don't even hear it's the same..like yeah, it's similar..but THE SAME?
Idk anything about music production but I would guess they change the tempo and pitch h up or down to make it sound different even though it’s the same sample
It’s actually crazy how creative you can get with sound. That’s what I love about Stray Kids, the way they can just make their own music using just about anything.
side effects instrumental wasn't produced by 3racha. actually 3racha don't make beats at all. only chan does. 3racha composes the melody lines. if you check the arrangers in the credits you'll know who contributed to the instrumental tracks. chan is mostly involved but i don't remember his name among side effects arrangers 😊
@@tapioooca5182 correct my apologies, i said 3racha because i didn't want anyone coming for me for only saying chan as so often happens, it's tiring. 🥲 but yes you're right i kinda wasn't thinking and forgot that there wasn't as much chan on arrangement in the earlier tracks. Tak and 1take are the geniuses here
@@icantsle3p ohh thank you for reminding me the producers :) and i understand, i kinda correct anyone who praises 3racha for the beats so the producers they work with don't get discredited, i'm under so many stays comments it's probably annoying 😭
@@tapioooca5182 i used to correct too but it got too frustrating when i get called a chan solo or akgae 😭 just for wanting him to get the praise he deserves sjfhdgdf i don't think its annoying!!! i don't like when people discredit the other producers too, i can't believe i did it myself in my excitement to comment on the piano sample 🤦
For some reason, I feel like this wasn't sampled. I'm sure they heard this, but I don't think it went directly into the final mix. I think they created their own piano loop sample. The reason I think this is the third chord is different in the Stray Kids version and the Stray Kids version doesn't have the same bass notes of the sample.
idk what’s more impressive-people finding out which samples belong to which songs or stray kids making such amazing songs with pre-existing sounds. i have a request however… if you haven’t already and if you don’t mind, could you please make an NCT version? any unit/all units (NCT U, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WayV, NCT DOJAEJUNG, NCT WISH)
I just checked and it does sound like Bhool bhulaiya But then again it's not the first time In my opinion / to my ears Starting music from charmer reminds me of tip tip barsa Pani Maniac first line is dhoom again Back door and victory song literally have the same music S class Felix's " I'm up above the world so high " is from nursery rhyme Lee knows limbo and Hans volcano sound like each others continuation when you listen one after another
I feel like at the beginning, in the 3racha tracks, the samples themselves had a really presence. Gradually, they got better integrated into the personality of the song
To anyone who thinks this is bad an unjust, not only is it done by almost every other producer but it helps enhance the quality of their music in a creative way in which 3RACHA incorporates into their already amazing songs to make them even more addicting
@@Meedayameda ok, I wrote this comment under the video about samples. Do you think I don't understand what is meant by them? In any case, it may be difficult for me to formulate this normally in a foreign language.
I think that’s my favorite part about how 3RACHA makes music. They have intros but then center the song around the members’ voices so that the instrumental supports the members, rather than the instrumental being the star of the show. Of course there’s moments where the instrumental gets to shine, but they’re really good at making sure their voices aren’t overshadowed
THANK YOU for putting the Topline one in there! Its been bugging me where that's from since the song came out. Also kind of reminds me of Paganini 24 ...
It was so fun trying to guess! This just shows how good 3racha and their team are. The way the samples get modified to fit the song perfectly and for me personally all their songs are SO good ❤ Shoutout to those who make these samples and keep inspiring people like our SKZ to make more music 🎶
It's so interesting that a lot of these samples are for the intros of the songs, which probably means they started with a sample and then built from there. Also, I was wondering why Freeze sounded so Virtual Riot. Now I know. There are some samples that are missing though, like in Alien by HAN, and whatever the side effects list in Side Effects is from (unless they commissioned someone for it)
tbh i have no clue how music production works so i kinda just thought there was some app or something and you could just make noise idk 😭😭 cool to know this is actually how it works lmao
that's a thing too of course. it's a combination of both. for example you can watch chan come up with the chords for venom's bridge part in one of his vlogs. he also told us how he created the sound for dlmlu (the part where it sounds like electric guitar that comes up in the beginning of the song) using his vocals only
@@tapioooca5182 please i beg you tell me where i can find that explanation of the dlmlu part 🥹 learning how skz makes their music interests me so freaking much, and im also a producer so its good inspiration lmao. i'm guessing it was a chan's room ep?
@@whoknows.201 chans room ep 202 (around 57min for dlmlu), he did an album listen for the sound and talked about all the tracks, also the last time he ever did that 🥲
6:00 if you told me skz was sampling GFOTY out of all people i wouldn't believe you, but here we are, that's amazing! love to it too, she has extremely interesting sounds in her music
I love Ateez but I didn't like how the used samples straight forward to the point that it was sOOO recognizable. With them, it seems that 3racha at the least edited to put their own twist on it so it's not just copy and paste, you know?
This is SO COOL thank you!!! It had been bugging me where some of these were from, cool to see them identified and hear them isolated like this. Really amazing what you can do with a good sample.
I can't believe 3RACHA and me, we both listen to the same instrumental and loops to create songs😂 That's insane hahah. I love that we are the same age, makes sense tho
Yeah, I think $$$ uses a different part of the same sample, or it's altered slightly. And the "Open your eyes" whisper at the beginning was used in one of Ateez's outros, IIRC.
At this point I’m making a game out of this video to blind guess the song from the sample alone- it’s entertaining 😂🥰 Also amazing to see what samples 3 racha use to make fire music ❤
Bangchan, you make me want to continue being a musician! 🥺 Hi guys, STAY and ONCE is here! Is there a music producer here? I'd like to ask something regarding music samples. Since I'm also making my own music, so I know about sample stuff like in this video, as I also purchased some. My question is, if there was another music producer using the same samples that one already used and already went viral/well-known, would this music producer be labeled as having done plagiarism? Let's say if someone used these samples on the video that 3Racha already used for SKZ's songs, would he be in trouble one day, as we all know Stray Kids' songs are very well-known and successful? Or has JYPe already bought the license for these samples so no one can use them? Thank you to everyone who answers my curiosity! ❤
No, samples are for anybody who paid or got permission to use them. the sample used in runners high for example is also used in a gidle and an nct song, another example is theres this one drum sample that is used in like 20 kpop songs. samples like that are usually licensed to a subscription service and the sample creators get royalties from that
no there are free samples and there are also samples you can buy. either way it's yours to use. also 3racha aren't the ones using them. it's either the arranger they work with or bang chan
@@icantsle3p do the sample producers written in the credits too? im always confused when checking the credits of some kpop songs, there are numerous names on producers and publishing and i wonder if the sample producers are included on that?
@@seungminsforeheadyourarelysee no not usually, they are already compensated through the program they uploaded their sample to (splice is a popular one), then after its uploaded anyone can buy and use that sample, it comes with a license to say you have permission to use the sample. for songs with a lot of composers one example is like the one person made the instrumental, then gave the track to another person that tweaked it some more, then another person made the melody so they get credited too, then another person comes in and is like "hmm how about we change this section to sound more like this" then that also gets a credit etc
