Take away: there are different techniques to felting, it is the end result that matters. Very excited to use the silk paper I recently made, which was inspired by Wyoming sunsets. These would be a lovely house warming welcome gift to new neighbors moving into a neighborhood.

It was great to see the various methods as well as some ways to fix things if needed. The series has given me some great ideas. Now off to learn to make silk paper so that I can do the project this weekend.

the wooden skewer is a good idea to feel where the resist is. i had found the tip of the scissors is not the best palpation tool. thanks for sharing your ideas!!

Dawn is such a lovely teacher and the vessel is beautiful! I am going to try to use the techniques shown this week on Oui yogurt jars. I hate to throw those out, even for recycling, because they are just so cute. I just have to figure out what size circle resist I’ll need to use.

I've been wanting to try the cracked mud for a while! So glad to see a tutorial on it. I just got ball brause in Novemeber and have used it a few times now. How do you make sure it doesn't mold inside? I keep flashing back to my daughter's gross pool squirt toys. hahaha

That is an interesting technique. I wonder how it would work for scales on a dragon.

I will have look at my stash of silk hankies and sari embellishments. I have some neat yarn also.

I may need to just try it….I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the mud resist piece/cutting it out. The finished project however is gorgeous!

Love this technique!! When Dawn mentioned using other embellishments (i.e.: silk hankies) is she using them in place or in addition to the silk paper?

I was thinking of using a lime green with dark purple. Can I add viscose to this project? Will Sari silk work as well?

If you wanted the cracked mud to go all the way around the vessel would you are a round cracked mud template and cut the hole in The middle?

my next order will have to try and get the olive oik soap i know it would last me forever does anyone know how it smells ?
