Support the channel: / moritzklein In this mini-episode, we'll be sampling some transistor noise using an ADC to determine the two winners of my filter giveaway.
Glückwunsch! Und danke, dass du alles an Dateien und sonstigem zugänglich machst und die Sachen auch so gut erklärst! Das ist eine sehr kreative Art und Weise ein Gewinnspiel zu veranstalten!
Even if I didn´t win the module, I win more knowledge everytime :-) Congratulations to the Winners...und noch mal Vielen Danke Moritz fur diese Lektion!
But this surely would not be random right? If we would sample the frequency, sure it could be quite random. But within time domain, its actually randomly distributed around a zero-mean. Or in this case: half of the ADCs range: 255. Which is quite close to the actual winners! Really cool device, but I think your computers RNG still did most of the heavy lifting.
That was one of the best draws ever:)Have you considered offering a kit? I think the people from thonk could make that work in a way you don't actually have to deal with hardware/shipping etc.

I love your videos! Been searching for those Capacitors you use, the film caps. Do you know where I could order a big batch or a kit of different value polypropylene film caps online? Cheers! And keep up doing great videos!
Congratulations to winners! I didn't won, but I was very happy when saw my name in the beginning of the list! And by the way, thank you for white noise generator schematic, I will definitely try to use it in snare/clap drum :)
I had literally just found this transistor white noise generator circuit on schmitzbits yesterday and built it before I saw your video. Now I feel guilty that I'm "torturing" the poor transistor lol
