Yep, then they slowed down after Steve asked Clive Burr to leave because Steve was greedy for money and got a blues drummer with a broken nose who can't play up to Clive's speed. All because Clive wanted time to be with family because his father died smh
Bruce always was capability to turn to happy a sad funeral 33:19, you know what I mean. Samson sounds very good, and I think they could be a monster of rock if Bruce Dickinson would have stayed there.
This band was damn good, Paul Samson could bust out a hot solo with the best of them, surprising they weren't more well known. I take it Bruce got the sound crew straightened out after the 15 minute mark.
Pauldiano built the car. Got it running. Opened the door and got out. And Bruce hopped into an already running car and just ran with it. Luckiest day of his life. The first two iron maiden albums will always be the best. But Bruce did a damn good job taking over for Paul. 🙋
After the Beast record I agree. When Clive was asked to leave by Steve Harris the tempo slowed and weren't the same Maiden anymore. Clive was awesome RIP
@@v1niciusrodrigues not really, I mean this band sounds more professional, better riffs, more catching chorus and guitar solos, more rocking, etc... I like Maiden as well anyways, but Samson sounds better (at least in that era) cheers
@@nodzii_ i can't see how they sound more professional, the riffs are more rock n roll, but Maiden is a very melodic heavy metal band, they don't want to sound rock n roll, Maiden is a more sofisticated band, and their molodies and guitar solos are much more emotional in my opinion
@@v1niciusrodrigues At that time the first Maiden's album sounds like a demo band... powerslave and seventh son are masterpieces, but the newer albums are very repetitive and lacking of creativity.
@@biglechuga8438 he thought he was God back then. When he asked Clive Burr to leave I could do without them for the most, Clive was lot better than their new blue's drummer
Bruce's style was ridiculous in 1981. Can't believe Steve would have ever thought he was better than Di'anno at this point. They should have let this voice mature first and kept Di'anno for awhile.
@@davehale26 TBH, Harris worked hard to cover the losing their popular frontman. He wrote some singalong tunes, the made some expensive videos for MTV etc. They weren`t happy sacking Di`Anno at all.
Nonsense. Di Anno was great as a singer, but he was unreliable. That's why they sacked him. They had to cancel shows because of his drug abuse etc. At that point in their career, they had to take advantage of the momentum they had created for themselves. How were they supposed to do that with a singer who wasn't reliable?
They COULDN'T keep Di'Anno, the band would have completely imploded, and there probably wouldn't even have been three Iron Maiden albums, let alone 15+.
