SUPERB! Absolutely superb! Thank you for providing a clear walkthrough, tips, and warnings of how to save myself (and others) hundreds of dollars. Simple phone repair is, well simple;) just requires patience, a delicate hand, and the understanding of 'a little progress is still progress' (i.e., removing the battery). Tip: To those who are struggling to remove the battery with limited tools and fear of dmging it. I used a collection of plastic playing cards. Worked them in slowly and added/wiggled a total of 7 cards underneath one another to free the PSU. GL!

Thankyou so much for this walkthrough, I was able to replace the screen which I brought from Amazon. Used hair dryer to remove battery as I did not have alcohol. I am Totally proud and satisfied.

Thank you so much for taking the time to make this excellent and very clear video. I broke my phone after 5 days of buying it so was gutted. Awesome video fixed my wife's phone only difference I did was to remove the battery by folding old screen in half to onstick the battery from the screen careful not to get any glass on your hand

Great work this is really clear. One thing I'm not sure of. You didn't seem to use any glue when you put the components back in. Did you just use the leftover glue from the pieces you took off?

Yes, if the adhesive is intact, you can leave it. If its broken and damaged, you can apply some glue or adhesive stripes if you got them

Handy tip.use a heat gun to help reactivate the glue.

Thanks for this great video. I too dropped my phone and the screen broke, but the phone still works. One site names a replacement part as follows: "6.5" Original For Samsung Galaxy A12 LCD A125F SM-A125F A125 Display Touch Screen Digitizer For Samsung A12 Screen Replacement. I believe I have to buy 'with frame' to do what you did. Is that correct, please? Thanks in advance. Also, I could not see where the video links for buy were.

Hello! This video was very helpful to me. After i changed the screen, the ear speaker didn't work. I hope you see my comment and help me out if possible. I placed the metal plate, and then the speaker. I don't think i missed something, but i can't figure out the problem. Thank you!

Maybe you damaged the speaker when you took it out or there is no contact to the board. See if you see any cracks or damages on the speaker

brother im actually gonna do this myself (wish me luck) i have a qns for u is there any other way rather than using alcohol to remove the battery i have seen sm yt vedios where ppl use heat gun and was able to get it out pls respond tysm great vedio as well!!!

Hi, I would not use a heat gun, as this could be dangerous. I'm always using alcohol. Good luck

I have my own ifixit case. I have never done something like this before. I just found out that repair shops will charge you 100+ I dont want to pay that, so what I am trying to find out is ,can i buy it cheaper and do it myself cheaper...is it easy to do ,like a laptop disassembly? with an ifixit tool kit case and simple not frustrating?

Hard to say...you could put glue on it or damage the membran

@@jonperez1025 yes sir turned out I lost a screw and the one screw I omitted was the one right next to the speaker so I substituted another screw from a different location. I think I may have used a dab of silicon seal too on the bottom of the speaker. Good luck

I f-up my battery :( for the whole day it worked, until it completely drained the power, but then it wouldn't charge anymore. I ordered the new battery. But hey, great tutorial

For the easier battery removal you could use a heat gun

Got it now. So you have seperated the glass from the lcd screen. This is a lot more work. You need uv glue or lamination machine and a bubble remover machine to install a new glass - touchglass on your screen. This complete assembly if you buy from my link, includes the screen and a new touch and you just glue it inside the frame and you are done.

My phone's LCD layer cracked randomly after half a month (it's a new phone!) without the glass above it breaking or the screen protector getting damaged. I don't know if i should fix it myself or send it back to samsung since they can just charge me a fine.

It could be a faulty screen (bad touch) or faulty connection.

I just finished watching your video and it's great. I dropped My Samsung Galaxy A 12 a couple of days ago and the LCD screen broke and after i checked into getting it fixed i decided to do it myself and save a lot of money but there is one problem I have never worked on any cell phone of any kind. My biggest fear is getting the wrong part I would like to do what you did in your video that looks like the fastest way to repair the phone . I don't have a eBay account any longer do to i had to meany problems with them but i do have a Amazon account do you sell on Amazon also? I would like to purchase the part from you that way i will know I'm getting he right part. I have a debit card if that helps. I really appreciate any help or advice you can give me. Thank you

Hello I just tried your video my phone is 2 weeks old an I busted the screen by dropping my phone. Once I opened it that cable is attached to the on off switch instead of the side switch that came apart and I can't figure out how it fits in there. Could use please help me figure this out Maybe the side switch part fits into the cover opposite battery.

@@CrocFIX figured it out the side switch has two black rubber legs that fit in opposing slots to hold it in place and the off and on switch has a backing clip that holds that in. Thanks, Dave

If you made a puncture, hole inside the protective layer or if you smell strange fruity smell from the battery.

Try disconnect the cable, clean it and reconnect again. See if there is some dirt in the connector.
