Good choice! Bro Legit the 7000 is actually better than the 8000. Infact it’s the SAME EXACT TV, same parts,LCD screen,CPU, and GPU. The only difference is a firmware version that allows more UNLOCKED features on the 8000, but you can unlock them on the 7000! Lol back when I had the TU7000, remember Samsung has that Q-Symphony that goes with your soundbar? But it’s “only available on 2023 tv models? All BS, I just went to the Service Menu and turned on “Q-Symphony 3D” so it worked exactly like a 2023 model. Samsung LEGIT Makes the same 3 TV’s but changes their Model numbers and turns off certain features, alll same parts. This is how they save money. So if your carful you just go into the service menu and turn on those very same features of a 8000 for example. I had the TU7000 (2021) and just bought the CU7000 (2023) 2 weeks ago and I deff have to admit between those 2 Same models but different years… it’s a night and day difference with the new CU7000, I mean like dammnnnn I NO LONGER HAVE TO MESS AROUND WITH THE CONTRAST ENHANCER, I can leave it OFFF 😂
@@prevail2983 the only difference is that the 8000 has a rechargeable remote. I can buy the 8000 for $10 more on Amazon though. Is it really not worth the upgrade from the 7000?
@@elboogie2324The misleading is the video, Samsung doesn't claim the CU8000 to be a QLED these are Crystal both pretty much same TVs, the QLED line up stars with Q60C, I recently got the CU7000 for my bedroom and hook it up to an Apple TV and it looks great, I have the Q80C on my living room.
A big difference that is never mentioned is the ram in the 8000 series is twice the size of the 7000, which makes a real difference in streaming speed time, and the TV is Bluetooth compatible with sound devices, which the 7000 won't do, only with keyboards etc. The picture is nearly identical at this budget, but perfectly watchable for actual 4k content, not just drooling over wet strawberries with a black background. Sound is dismal on any new TV, and q sound is a gimmick, which blocks Atmos. Cu8000 55" only has 2 usb one of which is 5v, not 3 usb.
@@donteah1706 it does. I wish I could take pictures on RU-vid but yeah I was just playing fortnite 4k UHD 120 hz. It doesn't have HDMI 2.1 tho. I found thAt out when I really got the TV but yeah
@@chriswright8398sorry to break it to you but this is a 60Hz TV... Meaning it physically won't go to 120Hz, not to mention that without hdmi 2.1 you physically cannot achieve 4k & 120Hz over HDMI. You're likely seeing the setting in a console, however the TV is not actually reaching that.
I had 50CU8000 for a week, and i returned it to the shop. It was quite slow on menus, had ghosting in the right side, and image artefacts for short periods of time when i turned on the tv. Tizen interface is too heavy or not optimized for the processor from 2020. Also, it had limited pairing with my Edifier Bluetooth speakers, and i wasn't able to change the volume form TV Remote. Wifi signal shown by the tv was quite poor, but i hadn't had any issues when trying streaming platforms. I have a Samsung Smart TV from 2017 which is way faster than this CU8000. Quite bad Samsung had lowered the quality of their entry line tv's. This video review is quite a joke !
Did you even update your firmware or any kind of update when you first turned it on? lol. This is 2024 guys, everything needs updating right out of the box.
Just got the samsung c u 8000 and I will unbox it tomorrow to see how well the t v is. I'm glad I was able to see this demonstration between the two televisions.
@@Adam-do8ny The TV is fantastic great color 55 inch. Cool for gaming all around a great television thanks for Putting up the videos so I could notice the difference.
Looking at tvs here in Newzealand. cu7000 and cu8000 cost the same... the samsung Q60C cost $1250 but would cost me only $800 anywhere else. Also yes its a good tv, just a shame entry level is $1000 here in New Zealand, literally 3 years ago entry level was about $400
I am about to purchase one or the other in Cu7000 58 inch vs. CU8000 55 inch. I'm confused about it being stated that the CU7000 is the slim pick and will hug the wall more tightly than the CU8000 @ 7:08. The specs for depth of the CU7000 w/o stand is 2.4 inches and the Cu 8000 is 1 inch. It will be wall mounted and the slimmer the better. Thank you
@@insider49 Thanks for the response. I ended up getting the 7000 in 65 inch yesterday and have it mounted to the slimmest articulating mount I could find. The mount stands off the wall a little over an inch. I'm happy and it looks good enough for a $400 TV.
@@masteroogway4211 We like it a lot! We purchased the 65 inch CU7000D from Sam's club for $400. It comes with a 3 year warranty and I could not find that with any other retailer. This "club version" also came with a nice HDMI cable and UHD dimming capability. We also added a Samsung HWQ60CC sound bar and woofer at a reasonable price. Very pleased with everything.
I bought the Samsung cu7000 and sports look horrible. Basketball, football, soccer all look pixelated and just bad. My 75” Vizio did not look this bad. Any tips on making the video better? I tried the stock apps, roku 4k, fire tv cube (latest model) and still no improvements. TV shows and movies look amazing. Not sports though.
Cu7000 is OK still have problems if in a dark room on tele hard to see. Also stands are 43 inches apart consul is only 40 inch had to buy TV stand another £20.00. Also finding it difficult to get terrestrial channels no happy
@@andrewhowarth7641 I noticed the grey patches move as you move up and down. The top of mine is very grey but as you stand up, the grey seems to look blacker. It's probably the edge lighting causing the problem 🙃
@@bestchoicereview mid quality. These are their lowest quality TV's. I have a 2019 RU7200, and it's not bright, and is now going bad on me. They're okay if you only need a TV that can do the basics, but they're not high quality at all.
And one more thing. These are Crystal UHD TV's. The CU8000 is NOT a QLED. You need to put a correction on the video, or in the comments clarifying the error.
These companies make these small comparisons of lack of or in addition of such an unnecessary pain! 1 model has 3 ports vs. the higher processing model; then one has direct lit vs only edge lit; then last years model is capable of audio Jack input vs. only sound bar; then another model is Bluetooth capable with everything. Except a Bluetooth speaker vs. current year model capable of Bluetooth connectivity; then you get 1 model that has smooth enhancing motion vs. standard motion. These South Korean companies! They sure do play games with their consumers! Just make it simple & respectful! Have one model line have all certain features vs. another like model not having it instead of add 1 great feature take away another feature that makes compromise upsetting! This is why I’m very hesitant and been wary of purchasing a tv. It’s just too much for all these features and the lack of other important ones. Modern production has just become so depreciated
