It needs a mechanical instrument to close and open the refrigerator. It is probably an unnecessary addition since you will always be present when you open or close the fridge. A sensor is much easier and less expensive to install

Even a 10k fridge plays music if you forget to close the door, you can literally open the door to see what’s inside, get an echo show if you want to splirge or a good old fashioned echo dot to set timers, reminders, shopping lists & listen to music. I have a Samsung convertible fridge and I never used even the convertible feature. Don’t we have enough displays around us already?
What you can do is get the same fridge without the screen (yes It exists) and set a camera somehow and get an Alexa with a screen and if your extra get an good speaker and attach it to the Alexa done :-)

I dont understand why people hating on this fridge. If you can't afford it, than move on. Buy what you can afford. This kind of Refrigerators are very common in Western countries but maybe not very common in India.
This would be great if they make good use of Apps like for recipe, grocery shopping, etc as it is quite irritating to use dirty hands to touch tablet/phone while cooking. this is anyways not at all some middle-class focused Electronics, just for super rich people for whom this price can be earned back within 2-3 weeks.
Just imagine standing in front of a refrigerator for several minutes steadily (watching a RU-vid video) doing nothing... People usually do such thing after getting high.
Even if someone wants to have entertainment in the kitchen the refrigerator is usually placed at 1 of the sides of the kitchen, the person who is cooking can't look at the refrigerator all the time while cooking. A piece of entertainment should be right in front where the person is cooking.
