Thank you so much!!! I went a little too fast, didn't wear gloves and over did it on the glue the first time. I broke the LCD. Lesson learned. Tried again, slowed this video down to 1/4 speed in some places 1/2 in others, used a lamp, gloves, and most important I took my time. And it worked!!! I'm so happy to have my phone back after 2 weeks of taking screenshots and using Your Phone on the laptop! Here's a tip for first timers: don't let the layers get separated, and if they do, do not touch them, and don't use too much glue, but you may have to put a little more at the bottom. Thanks again!!

As a senior mobile test engineer, I did enjoy this video, of course there where a few issues, that need be noted one, as dis-assembly was taking place, I noticed that the user was not apply enough heat to the phone, and should have been using a heat pad, they are what must professional smartphone repair technicians are using today. Also, see that he damaged a part of the plate glue on the back and front of the phone, he did have T7000 glue, he should have applied more to re-inforce the seal, so as not to obtain future water damage.

I would not recommend for the complete novice but those who have a bit of practice with other electronic devices should have little trouble following your video. I would advise being very careful with the glue. I got some on the front facing camera lens so now my selfies will have that soft vaseline on the lens effect. @@jonathanjayasooriya7466I cannot confirm for my phone can so craked that i gave up. To much of a hassel, so im planning to sell it on an Eco Atm. In addition boost mobile is have sales on the same phone on there website, so i will replace it with a new one. But it wpuld not hurt to try it. Just be careful 5 secs to much and it may melt and damege the phone. Good luck
I would give up if I was you. It to much of a hassle finding one. Imagine putting it on the phone. It is too risky especially when it comes down to ebay. Just buy another one and transfer your data using Samsung's log in. Don't bother.
I just bought a brand new A20 5days ago an cracked the screen. I paid $100 at metro and with $10 insurance they charge they want me to pay another $100 to get a brand new one!! Wtf! You make it look easy dude. It cost $60 for a new digitizer with tools, but not that bad ass heat gun. I really hate my A20! It is slow n really this sucks :(
Did you fix it? If so did you get the whole digitizer piece? Which I'm assuming avoids some of what he did in this video cause it's a piece already together, right? Thanks.
@@cindyp5132 yeah if you go to change the screen you need to change the digitizer as well. I'm currently working on one of these and it's damn near impossible to change the screen without busting the digitizer.

@@cindyp5132 you're honestly better off to order the factory screen and digitizer from Samsung but if you don't have the money the one from Amazon will work. It mainly has to do with touch sensitivity is y I say that
Great Video, although I neglected to remove the protective plastic from the new screen before inserting it. It works fine but at times it feels a bit glitchy tough,,,,
I remember when you only needed a screw driver and pry tool to fix your phone, now you need a heat gun and glue. They really don't want you to be able to replace things on phones if they break. On the other hand I'm much less worried about getting water on my phone knowing it's glued together
I have a cracked screen and on the bottom left there's an opening. Water go through inside of it and damage my LCD. I have now a black blue and pinkscreen all over and I don't know how to replace it and I don't know how much it cost to replace the glass and the lcd.
How much would you charge to replace a green'd A20 LCD screen WITHOUT doing a factory reset?? I know it's an easy fix, but I can't retrieve priceless personal files off it to back them up, and I am scared to death to take it to the retailers who only want to make a new sale =(

My screen looks like thor just shitted on it, and due to coronavirus guidelines, I am not allowed to leave my house and go to a phone store. Also, the stores are closed. Watching this is very hard since I cant really see anything? And also I very much doubt that my phone can be fixed in less the 2 months. For 2 reasons, coronavirus, and not having the right equipment to fix my phone. :I
What a shame that phones are made like this. Glued together, seriously? :D They should have screws and easily accessible and replacable parts in them and not this thin but pain in the ass approach
