Got it yesterday and upgraded it from my samsung galaxy A71. Performance is amazing with that 120hz refresh rate! The teardrop honestly doesn't affect my everyday use. My only complaint would be the camera only since it has a lower megapixel.
I really liked this it gives 4 years of OS update and 5 years of Security Update for a budget Android phone this is good for people who don't want to change phones every 2 years they can keep this for 5 years and still stay updated for a budget Yes gaming is not that great but overall a good value for long term use. I love this
The issue is, I'm unsure how long Samsung will really support this. I'm not sure how android update process works, but I don't see them optimizing their software for this chip in the coming next generation android versions and possibly bringing updates that might cause issues with this chip since this is the only different chips in all of the lines.
Obsessed with my Galaxy A34! Snaps amazing photos, even in the dark (huge win for a night owl like me). Plus, it's surprisingly lightweight and thin, so it's comfy to hold for hours. One tiny drawback - the glossy back looks fire, but fingerprints love it a little too much. To fight the fingerprint fiesta, I'm eyeing a matte screen protector from gadgetshieldz. Keeps scratches away and says goodbye to smudges, all without killing the sleek vibe. A34: stylish and fingerprint-free, just how I like it!
This year I would buy A34 instead of A54, four reasons why: 1) Matte back vs glossy glass on A54. 2) Bigger 6,6" inch Amoled screen vs 6,4" on A54. 3) Much cheaper than A54. 4) Dimensity 1080 on A34 vs Exynos 1380 on A54 should in real life give the same performance according to some tech experts.
Dope handsOn review, am excited for this device coz of 4yr OS updates, design is ok, ip rating, SD card support, 120 hz refresh & touch sample rates, overall its, worth it as we wait for S23 FE
I only use mid range phones and keep them a long time. Currently I have a J7 Prime which I like but it's over 5 years old. QUESTION: How good does the dual sim part of the A34 5G phone work? I need to have dual sim and hope to keep this phone for 5 years or so. Thanks.
@@ela5720 What I meant is to get the original charger to be on the safe side. A non original may even be a fake one or it may not supply the correct voltage and take toll on the battery in the long run and reduce its lifespan.
Samsung Galaxy A34 charges way too slow for the price although the display is better.I am benchmarking this against Honor X9a 5G as I am using this, mind you Honor X9a 5G supports 40watts and it came with charger in the box(Apple, Samsung, Google pay attention). 😂😂😂
people, don't compare this phone to flagships and the gaming phones like Red Magic, Legion, Black Shark, & ROG. appreciate it for what it offers at this price point. and that price point is worth it for the long software updates it will give.
i actually loved my A33 and question myself why would anyone need more than that phone, but sold it due to i wanna try the pixel 6a... and might be coming for a34 or even the 54...
Nice review of the A34 5G. But I have lots of questions: 1. How's the audio pickup when video recording? Is it in mono (96kbps) or stereo (256kbps)? 2. Can you copy text from photos you have taken? 3. Are the speakers loud & clear enough w/ no distortion on high volumes? 4. Is the GPS /network signal pickup good enough? (Quick to find network?) 5. Does it support up to 4K/60 video in RU-vid? 6. Multitasking and opening of apps any good? No signs crashes or slowdowns? 7. Would you say skin tones, foliage & white balance are good, could be better or is great? 8. Any Day 1 updates that Samsung pushed to your device? I have the old OnePlus 7T and a Galaxy A33 before. You think the A34 is a much better phone? I'm also thinking of getting a OnePlus 10T. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance.
Been using a new A35 for 3 days now. Very impressed. It's £330 here. Anyone who really thinks the S23 is really worth £650 more it is here than this costs? Is barking mad. It really isn't worth that much more for what you get. Glad I didn't waste my time with the A53 /54 instead too.
i preordered this phone 8/256 variant via the promo and chose it over the Chinese brands due to its 4 Android updates and 5 yrs security patches. Samsung is at least at par with Apple in terms of software support. weakness though is that it only has 25W charging speed. and they still use teardrop or infinity notches, but then again aesthetics are subjective. an and pls stop complaining about the infinity notch when iphones still use a bigger notch. only the Pro Max versions have that dynamic island that Realme is trying to copy. I'm sure the Dimensity 1080 will still perform well after 6 yrs. i chose those over the A54 5G coz it is cheaper and uses the D1080 chip. i still am suspect of the performance and quality of Exynos chips even though the Exynos 1380 has higher benchmarks scores compared to the Dimensity 1080. heat management & optimization is the key to sustained performance. and it helps that this has e-sim capability. great review as always Mr Lim!
for one the a34 has a dimensity cpu whereas the a54 has the terrible exynos line of cpus which lag a lot, mediatek/dimensity cpus and snapdragon cpus run much smoother. Second, the screen, the samsumg galaxy a34 has a bigger screen (6.6 inch vs 6.4 inch). Third are the cameras, the galaxy a54 has a slightly higher megapixel ultrawide and main cameras, and much higher megapixel selfie camera (whilst having a notch compared to the a34 teardrop) with different size lenses. Other than that the only thing left is that the a54 has HDR 10+ support whereas the a34 doesn't. Overall I would recommend the a34 over the a54 due to its bigger screen and far superior processor despite the slightly worse camera.
Dimensity 1080 for that kind of price, ugh so awful. Wish it was not so expensive, does not seem worth it cause with that price they should at least give a Snapdragon 782G not a dimensity 1080.
