Slight correction: It might be a UFS2.X after all. Got my info from NanoTech which does benchmarks but after further testing, seems like there is a difference between retail and test units. We don’t have UFS3.1 after all. My sincere apologies.
@@Xevos701 i see you've been asking people about their antutu storage results. Have you figured out if the a546b version has better results or ufs 3.1?
People always complaining about Exynos, but at the end Samsung still sells a lot of these A series phones. Me personally, I don't mind it. As long as no overheating I'm good.
Exynos was discontinued since S23 series (but heard they might be back in the future for their flagship series with newer Exynos processor) while Exynos still continue on Galaxy A series for some reason. When you compared Mediatek and Exynos, Exynos is quite struggling to catch up with Mediatek for many reasons due to Mediatek using TSMC Semiconductor, while Exynos uses Samsung Semiconductor. Samsung Semiconductor is well known for overheating issues compared to TSMC. Also, performance on Galaxy A54 is almost similar to SD778G (just slightly less performance when compared using Antutu benchmark but still not very noticeable).
People bought these because they have no choice. If provide both Exynos and Snapdragon or Mediatek processors I guarantee very few people would pick Exynos.
I broke my A53 screen recently and upgraded to the A54. This handset blows the A53 out of the water for me on just how fluid it is to use. Samsung are back on track with their mid-range handsets with this one.
@@raheemnasirudeen6394 As A 54 doesn't have 3.5 mm Audio Jack you can use earphones with an Adapter (C to 3.5 mm adapter). Or C type earphone of Samsung is available for use with the USB-C port of the phone. 😊
@@indritmata7636 if you don't care about gaming performance I definitely recommend it. The screen is super good, speakers are loud and clear, and the phone feels extremely smooth. I have not tried any games on it, but scrolling through social media, watching RU-vid and other daily tasks on the phone have been extremely great no hiccups nor stutters
@Steven Hocking on the first charge yesterday, I got 6 hours screen on time and 15hrs screen off time. I used the phone pretty heavily yesterday, I was downloading all my necessary apps and updating all the existing ones. Also it's still learning usage pattern, so not fully optimized to my routine
I just got it today, didn't plan it so much since the looks isn't anything special, but now that I turned it on (after charging it) - I'm like - WOOOW 😲😲😲
I think it's worth mentioning the Samsung has a 19.5 to 9 screen ratio , and the nothing phone , as well as most other androids have 20 to 9 screen ratios . The Samsung is better for viewing content in landscape mode as it doesn't crop the top and bottom as much .
@@Drstrange3000 yep , reviewers don't mention it or don't even know the issue exists . But when nearly everything is recorded in 16.9 or 18.9 , 20.9 doesn't make sense or look good . Cheers
@@ujjwal3151 But it doesn't have SD slot. It has a great camera but with not as much battery and storage, how useful is that really? It's kinda limiting
@@anayarey it really ends up how you use your phone if you are a average user you will not face any problem and battery will last a day easily and with the updates the battery life improves significantly also
This video start up so great I have to like and comment instantly. I was looking for a black A54 video. This was the first, that came up. Super crispy video, everything is neat, you are looking trustworthy. Keep up the good work!
Great reviews boss. The Samsung A series are truly making waves in the market. I personally will not support the idea of NO CHARGER BRICK in the box. Can't wait to do my own review. Marshal James is the channel name.
If you plan to keep your phone for more than two years, I would recommend the S23 tbh. The A54 is fine, but its chip is still weak compared to the rest of the market and you will likely feel it lagging after a year or two. On top of that, the S23 will give you a much faster ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, an even brighter screen, reverse wireless charging, and a MUCH better chip that sips on battery and will probably stay strong in performance for many years down the line. You might be paying more, but you'll be able to keep your phone for a lot more time and will have a smoother experience overall. Think about it this way: the A54 might be half the price, but it'll last you half as long too before it becomes slow and laggy on top of eating your battery. I personally regret getting my A52 instead of an S20FE cause it's painfully slow now, and I'll switch for an S23+ in the Summer
@@kiwisorbet that will depend on what you are comparing it to. It is about the same as an iPhone 11. Has 8gb ram. 4 years of OS updates. Phones nowadays above the 778 or the 860 in android and A11 and above in iPhone, will last several years. We have already reached to the point where chips are overpowered on what the 90% of users need. Unless they do a serious rebuilt of Android or iOS, we won’t need that extra power in several years.
@@kiwisorbet I grabbed S21 FE for $99 and felt very happy about the performance. I wish it had the SD card slot. I hate that they are so greedy and failed to include it in flagship devices.
I have to think back to the A3 and A5 as they had a metal frame, headphone jack, IP, Glass back and modern design. Great to see them going in the right direction again.
Because people want the feeling of "luxury" that's the only reason why they are still going after mid range Samsung than much better performance with cheaper price tag from other brand.
I think there's a huge differences in country gap because in most countries for some reason have 6gb ram as others have 8gb ram which make this phone a beast when it comes to performances.
I think the a54 is a good upgrade from the other lower versions in the A series I have the A53 I don't play games so I haven't experienced much lag but I have noticed issues that could be better the finger print login and some times the screen has froze a bit nothing a restart won't fix and the calls sometimes don't come through . Yet it's a decent phone still regardless of the exnos 1280 processor do I wish an update will help that yes I do but it is what it is
@@opposedscroll7596 i would say yes its an upgrade from last generations of affordable phones which is really not affordable but if you have an old family relative yes its a major up grade but to a person who keeps up its probably not the phone for them at 400
@OpposedScroll75 Yes I am upgrading from an A51 and from the reviews I've seen so far it seems like a great upgrade, although there is about a $130 bump in the price it still seems like a day and night difference (although the bezels is somewhat of a turn off for me as the A51 got a basically bezel-less screen)
I bought a Samsung A53 5G on Amazon Prime day last year for £249. Despite reviewers not liking it my A53 is an almost perfect phone. The only downside is a slightly slower CPU than Chinese phones at the same price point. Now with the A54 the CPU is 40% faster which makes the A54 a perfect phone. I get 5 years of security updates with means that the cost per year of a Samsung A53 or A54 phone is much less than any Chinese phone because no Chinese phone gets more than 2 years of security updates.
They want to push their own weak processor to reduce cost, samsung never learn, remember when everyone complain about exynos since day 1 they still keep release the exynos till now
It's weird to see the A54 able to charge up to 56% in 30 minutes with the 5000mAh battery while my A73 can only charge up to 45% in 30 minutes despite having the same amount of battery and the same old 25w charging limit. Samsung better not be limiting the charging speed of older devices via software or any methods just to make newer devices seems upgraded/better, especially when it's charging speed is already falling behind compare to other major Android brands.
I've noticed this with my A51 with so called "super fast" charging falling from 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 full hours from about 5-100, this might be the case, although it kinda didn't work as I am still rocking it and only now thinking about changing it, if the problem wasn't there I'd still want to change it
@@GameOver-nm2us My A73 is 14 months old now, the charging speed is still the same. What I'm curious about is that why the A54 that features a 5000mAh battery and 25w fast charging can charge up slightly faster than my A73. But yeah it's not really a big deal/deal breaker since I'm not a hardcore user. As for your case, upgrading to A54 is a huge jump in my opinion. Literally everything is upgraded compared to A51.
Hi @limreviews so how did you get the theme for the phone that the apps is circles and when you go down its different that the other phones so can you please tell me where you got that tnx
Untuk a54 kali ni bro aq impress ape yg dye bgi compare a53 .. screen tk nmpak premium mcm brand realme n vivo but it's okay samsung bgi software update 4 tahun
Realme, Xiaomi and all China phones kebanyakkan kepentingan high specs at lower price tapi mereka beri maximum 2 tahun OS update je manakala Samsung ni agak kedekut specs tapi beri 4 tahun OS update tapi phone harga agak mahal sedikit compared to their competitors. Tidak termasuk iPhone sebab iPhone ni jenis high end semua. Processor dia bagi memang mantap terus tapi storage agak kedekut dan harga mahal, skrin pula dia bagi Retina Display (senang cerita IPS LCD) untuk iPhone SE manakala yang premium ni macam iPhone 14 series pakai Super Retina XDR (OLED).
I phone 11pro max (second hand) Samsung galaxy a54, Google pixel 7.. Which one will be better for camera and daily use? (I will not play games). Please answer my question!
They just need to make bezels thinner on lower side especially a lot. and bigger battery, like Silicon-carbon which is out there already. And second camera need to be as good as main, that is worst part of camera experience. All else is very, very good for the price.
I have the A54 international version (A546E) in hand, and Device Info HW reports that the Main Sensor is indeed IMX766, ultra wide is S5K3L6, and the front camera is S5KGD2.
