It's a shame the comparison footage and stills from the cameras weren't done on the same day as it's unfortunate to see it was quite different lighting conditions.
@@JesusHernandez-gh7wl its different in my case, after 2+ years using x3 nfc, its sure run smoothly, but i got a charging problem, the flexible connector inside was broken and it got fixed, and today there is short circuit kinda problem to the connector inside
I can't really understand the urge to have a glass back. It's just another point of failure. Most people will put a case to protect it. I really prefer plastic back and no cover. I wish they make more premium phones with plastic or leather back. Glass is not ideal in my opinion.
My thoughts exactly. Even at a cheaper price, the regular F5 competes very well with the A54. The F5 Pro trounces the A54 in hardware features like a better processor, a higher res screen and the inclusion of wireless charging. Samsung still has the edge in software and cameras though.
@@jortuspelatus7364 it is both are fantastic and my dad using the galaxy a54 so far over five months he loves it as for myself I'm planning the poco f5 which is on my birthday in november because i have no choice but a my perfect midrange phones 😄
Xiaomi wins this one in my view. Better chip, better display, faster charging. These are what matter the most to me. I appreciate a phone with SD support but that means so little to me since I'm a dual SIM user. Either give me a dedicated SD slot or don't give me one at all. The software support is where Samsung beats Xiaomi but quite frankly I wouldn't mind that so much.
I'm charging performance and speakers a most important value for money so I'm choosing the poco f5 I'm getting it very soon on my birthday in november but which ones are the perfect colour though ☺️💖😄
Easy, if you want a more stable and refined feel, and good camera, go for Samsung Galaxy If you want superior performanc for gaming go for Poco and Xiaomi
With gcam, poco surpass Samsung by miles... xiaomi price and specs will always prevail no matter what. The only reason to buy Samsung is oblivious loyalty
@@frankreynolds9930 you clearly haven't used gcam. You won't say that if you were unable to buy a phone and was stuck with one for more than 5 yrs This are phones not meant for rich countries rather for low earners like me in 3rd world countries.
@@reziee5897 maybe, but xiaomi releases their firmware to developers ASAP. If you know a lil bit of tinkering, Lineageos Os will surpass even 5 yrs. This are phones not meant for rich countries rather for low earners like me in 3rd world countries.
Good comparison video. Ive had Samsung phones for about 8 years and finally decided to change and bought a poco f5 about 1 week ago and its the best phone ive had. Performance and battery life are good, camera is pretty good. Happy with it all in all. No issues with miui also.
@@BeraadOP - Sorry but I am not going to be very helpful as I am not entirely sure what you mean, the performance is good so I assume the ram management is good as ram effects performance? Storage is 256gb so plenty of that. There is good sound clarity on this phone. Hope my answer helped but I doubt it lol.
I get Poco F5 like a week now and it runs great. Just 2 years of software support which is a downside but I'm OK with it as I tend to change a new phone yearly. I use alongside with Honor 70 while my Galaxy S22 Ultra is now use as camera because ny S22 Ultra antenna is broken and unable to receive cellular network. Poco F5 is a great choice for gamers with processor almost the same as 8 gen 1 processor and 3.5mm jack but if you want more software updates and SD card slot better get Galaxy A54 5G.
great comparison video. I was split between these exact two phones and utlimately decided for the Poco F5 mostly because of the chipset ♥. it provides more bang for the buck. and even though it only offers two years of OS updates versus samsung's 4, I'm pretty sure i'll be ready to move on to a newer phone in 2 years anyway. I like to keep up with the newest midrangers. The only two things I wish my Poco had that the Samsung does have are the IP rating and support for external memory. But luckily I saw some Indian RU-vidrs test the durability of the Poco and it survived the 5 min submerged test (among other barbaric treatment), although I won't be quick to test that myself. My last phone had 128gb ROM, this Poco has 256gb so I don't believe memory will be an issue. My Poco just arrived in the mail last night. so today will be my first full day with it. I feel good with my choice. this baby is badass.
I've tried both for about 4 months, the A54 clearly feel like a more refined product, autofocus & exposure in both photo & video is more consistent, the auto screen brightness is more accurate, microphone quality is much better. Only buy the F5 if you play games on your phone.
@@bumaye6982 That's debatable, the A54 is just as fast for regular use, it's actually doing a better job at multitasking because MIUI memory management is too aggressive, that's also why you get delayed notification. Software support is also important when it comes to performance.
@@badbad-cat that's fair if you need those features, most people will be happy with the F5, it's a great phone. I just have the privilege to test both phones side by side, and in my opinion the A54 is the better option if you don't play games on it. Not only that the performance is kinda slow for gaming, the touchscreen is also not as responsive.
Watching this on my new redmi note 12 turbo. 🔥 preformance i can play genshin at max graphics for about 4 hours straight without any lag at about 58 fps! However alian isolation isn't available on playstore for some reason. And idk why but diablo important doesn't go to ultra graphics . But other than that i have downloaded every game i could think of with no problem. 👍
I guess the main factor is the OS and software support. Samsung OS probably better overall. Would like to know some opinion of those who have used xiaomi recent OS
Once you've unlocked the bootlocker and slapped a lightweight OS on it, the Poco F5 becomes practically rocket-powered. But it's a week long operation that may result in bricking, so it's not for the faint of heart.
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo version (same phone as the F5 here) has up to 1 TB of storage and 16 GB of RAM with a total cost of $363. That version eats the A54 alive if you can get full or even some band support in your country.
Poco f5 is already great, 2 years of updates will make it even greater plus 3 years of miui updates. 12 gb ram 256 internal flagship processor can't beat that
Software is really the only advantage on the A54 but it can only get you so far. Hardware is more important than software in my opinion because you can always install a custom ROM whereas it's impossible to upgrade the hardware.
The factor of video resolution limitations such as that of the Poco can be fixed by simply installing a third party camera app, like HD Camera or Open Camera. Last week I went to a nearby store where I can explore phones and their software on a deck. Even a Nokia G11 is perfectly capable of recording in 4K, and up to 3264×1836 or 3.2K on the front.
Not the exynos again. I'll pick any midranger with SD chipset over exynos, where it burns your device gaskets overtime due to thermal nightmares and lets the moist kill your phone. Just moist, i did not even drip it in water. Such a waste
I hype ka sa Mga High End like features. Mag Poco ka. pero kung durability and long term usage. I prefer SAMSUNG. My poco phone, after 2 years became Preggy. may Old samsung Phone still usable with its old battery for 7 years.😮 and still usable like brandnew.
What a i like about a54 : camera, update,ip,sd expansion,speakers,display,usable for for slight hardcore gaming Poco f5 : bezzeless,big screen,hardcore gaming,usable camera
Just upgraded to Redmi Note 12 Turbo from Mi A3, I'm surprised how great Honkai Starrail look and run on it, it's even comparable to how it's on iphone 15. I really can't believe how good this phone is for the price. I know Redmi Note 13 pro plus just came out, but that curved display is a no for me.
Samsung should start making 3 new types of phones: 1. Flagship killers like Chinese brands. Here's how: s24 fe. 6.7 inch 1080p above 2000hz pwm dimming rate and 1500 nits brightness display. Snap 8gen3/2. 5000mah or more battery. A55 cameras. No wireless charging or ip68. High quality plastic (plentiful as they like). Under 600 bucks for 8-128. And will sell like a champ bc of their brand name and the fact that they release 1 in a year and Chinese brands do a zil 2. More compact mid and low rangers. Like: an under 6.4 inch A(5/4/3)5 with a main cam that is their best offering in the mid range+ a 5.8-6.3 inch A05e with acceptable chip and main cam (like exynos 850 or mtk g80 and one of those cheap 50mp cams) 3. an stylus support A75 Ty. I'll take 30 percent :)
Samsung has the best quality of it's music sound compared to other smart phones you will notice it if you connect headphone or audio system, very few people noticed this.
True, had a A54 I sent for replacement (due to ghost touch), got a temporary Oppo Find X3 Pro from a friend, yet; with a good pair of headphones + USB Dongle, Samsung sounds so much better.
This video is not helping. I'm still confused which one to buy in the end of this month. If I keep being confused I might just go for a phone that's better than these two lol I want the IP67 rating from the A54 but that phone doesn't support smooth+extreme setting for PUBGM. That's wack. I want the fast charging, great chipset of the the F5 but I want the 4 YEARS ANDROID UPDATES which the A54 has 😭😭😭
I've heard that the photo performance of POCO F5 will be greatly improved after installing Google camera, has anyone tried it? I wonder if it can beat the A54 in this situation.
the poco f5 is OK good only for the fast processor and the battery is long lasting. the down of poco is the screen is not as good or bright as the A54 & the sound quality is also not as the A54 but the biggest letdown is the poco software which is one of the worst out there. if only A54 run on snapdragon gen 2 it will definitely be a winner but unfortunately the 2 phone I know well while using one each has its strengths but lots of negatives too but the poco run much cooler a54 tend to heat up easily
Not sure how nice is the MUI software for the Note series now, but I have Redmi Note 10 which does suffer notification delays. Annoying ads/notifications for some built-in software like the theme, mi video, and after installing new apps.
@@djdelarosa25 More like how on earth are apps so heavy (GBoard alone is already nearly 1GB)? And why don't most phone manufacturers no longer offer microSD in their upper midrange devices. I'm currently using an A52s (8/256) with a 256GB microSD. If not for the microSD, I would already have used more than half of the phone's storage.
well I'm going the poco f5 on my birthday which is 12+256gb to replace my daily driver redmi note 10 pro has been used from 2 years now and since my dad got the galaxy a54 ☺️💖😊 and guys which one the best color for the poco f5
@@jefemuga416 sweet as for myself not yet I'm getting this until my birthday in november but i love the colour of the frosted white it looks super beautiful 😍
one have better processor another have better software if one want better UI then samsung if want raw power than poco f5 another is a54 has better brightness and better sound quality where as poco f5 sound quality sound flat
What phone would you recommend in this price segment if camera performance is a priority? I've read that the Poco's cams aren't great. People recommend the Google Pixel 7a, but that is 100 euro more expensive in my country... And it has only 128GB of storage (not expandable), and poor battery life and charging speed. Too many cons for that one pro, and it's not even in the same price class. Any recommendations?
@legacygaminginc. Poco phones are designed mostly to give better processor and are for heavy usage. Even the best Poco f5 pro has worse camera than it's competitors.
Above all remember one ui is better, also SD card slot is important too... If you don't game, you already know A54 checks important boxes It's you choice, choose wisely Thanks GSMArena 😍
If Poco F5 has excellent custom rom support, I'd pick it in a heartbeat. It's all you ever want for in a phone for cheap, excellent chipset, great display, 3.5mm audio jack, overall a perfect enthusiast phone. Custom rom would do wonders on this, otherwise MIUI leaves a lot to be desired.
I bought the F5 for the custom rom support (because previous Poco phones had them) and was not disappointed. When you consider that, the 2 updates problem really goes away as unofficial software support will last a very long time, likely much longer than Samsung's official support, especially given the hardware (just like some of the previous high spec phones).
What's also great about Samsung and their lineup, is that they don't have ads on their phones. I wonder why xiaomi, poco, realme, put ads on the devices they release.
you can easily remove them by changing regions or blocking them in settings in apps, they do this so they can keep the price of the product low@@danielbandalan4668
@@sidahmedreghaouat6842 phone is performing very well but nowdays a lot of better option are there at same price. Why will you buy more than one year old phone.?
at the 400usd range the Motorola edge 40 neo exists and the pixel 7a exists the galaxy a54 loses to everything in it's price range and to stuff cheaper too
@@frankreynolds9930 lmao what? the only reason the Samsung trash sells is the brand name. the 7a is a trash with a good camera and the Motorola is a really good phone with a "bad" camera the galaxy a54 performs worse than both lol that thing is e-waste outta the box and when it comes to software the Motorola has better software lol literally has a desktop mode regardless the Motorola is the better phone objectively hands down
@3mar00ss6 Idiot, go check comparisons. 2 people who actually use desktop mode will be very happy. Can't even give regular software update for 1 year, let alone 4. Better software my ass. Doesn't even have good processor like Chinese phones to have advantage. Vivo, Iqoo, Oneplus are way better deal than Moto.
Camera A54. Gaming, awesome processing power and really quick charging... Definitely the F5. You'd struggle to beat the Poco''s SD processor for the money. It's a beast.
F5 may have a better screen, but still does not support HDR on Netflix unlike the A54. And 2 years update at this day and age is disappointing. The only thing I like about Xiaomi phones is their charging speeds.
@@johnX03 yeah also dolby vision I'm literally watching Nowhere movie with dolby vision right now lol. Yesterday i watched Sister's death movie with HDR.
Until Xiaomi bring back gesture support for third party launcher, i cannot seriously recommend Xiaomi for anyone who's serious about customizing their Android.
Never check where all your appliances and most of your electronics were made lol clowns like you love to virtue signal about China but have no issues supporting US companies even though the USA is the biggest threat to peace on the whole planet. The USA has been going around the planet murdering MILLIONS of innocent people to steal their resources for decades now yet you Bozos want to lecture others about "human rights"😂 Your pathetic little "boycott" will have as much impact as the US sanctions on China which is none. They are coming for your lunch and WILL take it. The USA banned Huawei because they realized they couldn't compete with them and now Huawei just took a big, fat dump all over those cowards. It's only the beginning.
F5 processor is a beast. My F3 is still going strong though after 3 years and is great. Sound is better on F3. Processor, headphone jack, charging and the camera are a lot better on the F5 though. Plus the F5 has Hyper OS. I got mine for 250 pounds, open box but brand new on eBay. I really don't see why folks pay a 1000 for top end phones when there's processors like this about for a fraction of the cost?
If phone usage is going to last for at least 2 or 3 years, POCO hands down. I kinda noticed that with every software update, especially in android phones, the unit really slows down in performance except probably in flagship phones. I wouldn't mind though if it's a flagship phone, considering I have both poco f5 and s22 ultra.
