Correction - this version of the A71 5G features the 5G compatible Exynos 980 processor and NOT the SD765G. I was incorrectly under the impression that I purchased the UW model. Thanks :)
If its not the uw model and its the unlocked us version 5g A71. Its sd765g. Use one of those apps that gives u all your device info. If it says Qualcomm lito. Its a snapdragon.
You may have the uw model. But I think all the us versions use the snapdragon. Its crazy that their are so many ppl saying something different. Something is up here. Because i have the us unlocked version. And its not the uw version. Mine definitely has the snapdragon 765G
Back when 3G was switching over to 4G, I bought a 3G phone (bc on sale) and I DEFINITELY regretted it. It was MUCH slower than my Dad's 4G phone, and It really was frustratingly slow, but it was 3G, so, yeah. I couldn't make that mistake again so I HAD TO get the A71 5G. Just did not want to make the same mistake again. Just something to think about for people on the fence
Hey Kevin, I have the 71 regular and at this time i can't see paying over 200 more for the 5G. There isn't much difference between the phones to warrant the extra money and there isn't even that much out for the 5g. I'll wait till it's alot lower in price and then get it.
Also, depending on where you are, 5G may not be available. Personally would wait for 5G to be VERY widely available, because by then the A71 5G will come down in price. A win/win.
I'm sticking with my A71 4G LTE until 5G becomes a bit more of a thing, and when the A71 5G drops some in price. There's differences that future proof the A71 5G more, but for right now that's not worth the extra cost for the device, considering how sparse 5G is.
Got my A71 5G this past weekend. Had S10+. I was looking at other 5G phones, but did not want to spend over $1K. I am on Sprint / T-Mobile network. The A71 5G is great. 👍👍 As 5G becomes better in central Texas. I have no doubt this phone will last for a couple of years.
Yes, Android 10, UI 2.1. Also, single take for camera. Two items I wish they would have included with the A71 5G are wireless charging and duel speakers. Has just about every other items as the flagship versions of Samsung. It is a great budget friendly phone.
I have the regular A71 and it's great and when I eventually get a 5g phone it will be a significant upgrade such as the Samsung S21 or equivalent when this contract ends. Right now, I'm really happy with my beautiful A71.
Hey Kevin, I just purchased the A71 5G on Amazon today. I am with Xfinity mobile, they gave me a Motorola g pure for switching from T-Mobile. My first smart phone was a Samsung J7, then I went to Motorola power series. I've had 3 Motorola phones, but the g pure stinks! I did my homework researched iPhones 8se plus and a couple others that were compatible with Xfinity. After a good 8-10 hours of research and comparison I chose A71 5G, and I'll let you know what I think. Lol, I do hope it's as good as it sounds.... And now importantly I bought it today, June 12th, 2022 for $199 on Amazon. Thanks for making the video.
I honestly wanted to give my older Samsung galaxy s9 plus to my father which was a great phone and is an upgrade from his old crappy htc phone, went to the Samsung store to change the battery but they would charge more than a 100 dollars so I went to another store, traded my s9plus and bought the a71 LTE. The deal was amazing and A71 is a truly great phone I find it similar to the s20 plus
I have the regular A71 that I got back in February. I remember it being a great phone - better behaved than my note 9 was but with less features. But then after a few months - it got kinda glitchy and would freeze up quite frequently. And the screen rotating situation really drove me nuts! I switched to a OnePlus 7T Pro and it is honestly the best phone I have ever purchased. Even over all the iPhones I've had. Kept the A71 tho as a back up!
The A71 should have got 90Hz or 120Hz, it may be a midrange a series but has features like the flagships, at least 90hz would run apps and games smoothly, for large phone also i would have liked to see a larger battery, like 5000mah
Great video I'm wondering have you tested the 5G on the Galaxy A71 5G... So basically what I'm asking is are you getting 5G signals on that phone even though I know 5G is not out 100% yet just wondering how the 5G signal is on that A71 5G?? I guess that's one of the things a lot of people should be reviewing is how is the 5G working out
@@SICERIKTECH it was with 5g and also apparently even with LTE, you could have bars but no service. Just reading reviews from the T-Mobile website. I like the phone, but I don't want the problems lol
I'm in San Pedro, CA. I went in my mom's car to setup bluetooth, when I got in, it was 112 degrees, when I got out 5 minutes later, it went down to 108 degrees. It's still too hot.🔥
That's impossible to know because 5G speeds are going to be different everywhere. Me demonstrating it in this video wouldn't help anybody that lives outside of my city.
So I got the A71, it's a great phone however I will say that the fact that the fingerprint thing is an issue. Also, I've noticed alot of the newer phones zoom in really bad on 3rd party apps (like snapchat or instagram). I can't believe that they haven't fixed that yet.
believe me. get the 5G. I had a 4g phone with T-mobile network, there was not signal in my workplace, it showed no service at all, I was thinking about switching to Verizon or AT&T, then I saw the Galaxy A71 5G was on promotion, I got it, and the signal is strong and superb fast.
I had the A71 5G from T-Mobile and when I went to the internet it kept saying offline for some reason then I switched the connection to 4G LTE and it still kept saying offline so I sold it and kept my Stylo 6 I know it's a downgrade but at least it doesn't say I'm offline nomo🤷🏾
Something to consider if anyone is considering which one to get, a71 4g only has Samsung Pay with nfc, and no mst, while 5g has both. Basically, a71 4g Samsung pay is only as good as apple pay.
Just got an a71 5g on Amazon renewed for $300 on tmobile... Very nice and the internet speed test for 5g blew 4g out of the water! Better than my wifi on 2g and 5g!!!
last I looked the A71 5G model lists for $600 thru T-Mobile. not including any deals obviously. it cost me $480 off of eBay and for that price it was a no brainer. now and then 5G is sketchy but I can live with it. basic performance in every other way is smooth :)
I have the a71 regular. And i dont have any problem with the features it has than its bigger 5g brother. The only thing i hate is the headphone jack is on the bottom instead of the top. If it wasnt for covert I would have bought 5g. But otherwise a great phone regardless.
I'm still rolling with the Galaxy S7, but the ole guy is starting to slow down a bit. I was thinking the A71 reg would be a decent upgrade. I don't really game, more videos and media, pictures, etc. I'm not a fan of the 0 waterproofing with the phone, but everything else seems to be just fine. I wish there were comparison videos on s7-a71 haha, but just for curiosity's sake. Best y'all. 🍻
Just like the Pixel 4a is going to be $150 more for the 5G model, i wouldnt spend the extra $200 for the 5G A71 either. 5G isnt ver good right now anyways. The A71 5G model @ T-Mobile is $600 and why i opted for the Pixel 4a.
My info is: That the ram is different between the two cell phones, and that the A71 has two more GB of ram, than the A71 5G....... But, this video says, they each have the same amount or ram. What's correct?
But does the 5G have problems making calls and receiving calls? In the states I have read reviews saying people were not getting in calls and calls are going straight to voicemail. Some serious reception problems. Wonder if you have any knowledge of that? Thanks.
I had the A71 but I damaged the screen, I ordered another A71 but it was the A71 5G and I find the phone only get 1 bar whereas the regular A71 was getting 3 bars. Is there a downgrade of the phone signal in the 5G version?
@Smiler Grogan target had a 10% off coupon over the weekend. And were selling giftcards for 10% off too. With the coupon it was discounted to $555. I bought a $560 of giftcards for $504. I had to use 2 accounts to buy the giftcards bc the giftcard purchase limit is $500. Then, my friend's credit card gives 5% cash back on target.com purchases so that reduced the price to 478. Then subtract the $150 giftcard reward so now it's $328. I used the $5 leftover to purchase some floss and soap, so now it's $325. I set the pick up to a Delaware store to skip the sales tax. The gas in DE is cheaper and I bought some other necessities too so that off set the gas cost.
Hi kevin, i tapped on the a71 5g link in yr description. The us version is currently unavailable. Though it's unlocked but i wld wanna know if it will adopt our Nigerian carriers/bands?.
Man. Thanks. I was completely on the fence. Imma go wit thw 5g for sure now. I wish i could buy it right now. But ill have to wait. ☹️... Anyway. Next time bro
Hi, I am using A71 5G since 1.5 years. Now i am getting my phone automatically restarted when my sim signal will enable. If i put my sim card in flight mode or without sim, its working fine. (without fallen down and water) Otherwise its getting automatically restarted again and again. I have already done the factory reset even its not solved. Still service center-Dubai informed me to change the mother board its cost of 800 AED. I was purchased this mobile by 1400 AED. Please advise me,
Personally,i thing Samsung shouldve made the A71 a bit..fatter...like the A51..Currently owning both thanks to getting the a71 as a gift from my sisters,i dont really like the camera module protruding that 2/3 of a millimeter more compared to the A51:D
The obvious difference is the number of cores: the Exynos is an octa-core chip and the Snapdragon is a quad-core chip. So while the Exynos cores are clocked at lower speeds than the Snapdragon cores, there's more of them. ... Exynos chips use the ARM Mali graphics processor while the Snapdragon supports Adreno GPUs. if you don't know what this all means Snapdragon vs Exynos. Snapdragon is better all out because you get better camera proforms better speed better battery life Snapdragon is all out better Exynos sucks because with the samsung s20 with Exynos sucks but with Snapdragon it's the best and beside you pay more for the s20 with Exynos and get trash but with the Snapdragon you get better deal. But the point is that Snapdragon is better no matter what if you a phone with Exynos you're stupid because you just got a piece of shit
Given that there are some very deep discounts available now in January 2021 on the regular A71, going for the non 5G version is definitely the better deal. In fact I've decided to do just that. I just bought the non 5G version of the A71 as an upgrade over my Moto G8 Power.
Hello! I was wondering if the A71 5g supports WiFi 6 ? Because on the T-Mobile website says it does support WiFi 6/ WiFi ax but I kept on looking every where and it show’s no support for WiFi 6 on the Samsung website but on the T-Mobile website says this phone does support WiFi 6 , so I am confused or does T-Mobile have a special variant of this phone that supports Wi-Fi 6. I also want to know if this phone supports 45 watt fast charging . Thanks for the informative video.
I don't like the power and volume buttons lower as it makes it alot harder to put the phone in a tripod holder balance wise on some tripods. it makes it fall over if it's horizontal.
Thanks for your sincere review, Mr. Kevin, I was confused in between samsung note lite, plus, & A71, after watching your few video in Samsung I would like to go for Samsung A71 5G Samsung A71 5G Unlocked -128GB + Samsung Galaxy Buds, Bluetooth True Wireless Earbuds (Wireless charging Case included), Black - US Version, It's saying out if stock, can you please guide me in this Thsn
Everyone is talking about getting 5G not worth and they forgot about the performance different between SD730 vs SD765/Exo980, the latter (5G) has performs better and UI experience will be smoother
One of these I heard, gets connectivity issues. Like wifi and/or data connection problems, even though it says it has full bars. IDK I think it was the 5g version.
